Windshield Tint Question-77 New Yorker

I think it was 2010 and I had a friend who works for Safelite Auto Glass and he searched from coast to coast and couldn't find a windshield. I did find 2 NOS windshields I believe in 2011 on the internet from an old man that closed his shop 20 years ago and he found 2 NOS windshields in his shop as he was cleaning up to sell the building. I drove from Baltimore to Indiana immediately to buy those windshields.

An old Chilton or MOTOR Collision Parts/Labor Manual (for the appropriate model years) will have the NAGS part numbers for any windshield glass you might desire.

"Flat glass" can be cut to fit, but there are more subtle compound curves in almost every piece of 1970s auto glass that it isn't amusing. Unless it might be a door glass for a sedan body style, typically.

Just some thoughts,
