Yellow pan

I started cleaning the transmission from a 1972 Polara parts (police) car, when I got through the grime the pan was painted Yellow, anybody ever see this before?

I've seen yellow and green engines out of motor homes.

This was just the transmission pan, maybe it was the police dept's. way of marking it?

Easier to spot metal flake when it's painted a bright color. Not all metal flake in there will hook to ah magnet
