I'm looking for chestnut leather upholstery for a '76 NYB, 50/50 split bench seat.
I don't need the seat, just the leather upholstery covers (with the foam for the "pillow") for both the driver seat and the rear seat back.
It would not be practical to ship the whole seat.

I don’t think you’ll find a “Kit” for any formals, they’re just Not a popular enough model.. I’ve done 2 of them, you’ll be better off purchasing the material and having an upholstery shop make what you need.

The first seat was in my 75 NYB, had them recover the drivers seat only..The discolored portion that you see at the top of the seat had the embroidered Brougham emblem. Since that cannot be reproduced I just had them use the material from the old seat.

these seats are in my 77 NYB, redone in leather, they did an amazing job IMO.

He's looking for used seats.

He is requesting that the seller remove the upholstery from the seat to save on shipping costs.

It's a real long shot to find serviceable seats, or someone willing to pull off the upholstery, but you have to start somewhere.

Formal seats are heavy as hell! Especially if they have the power seat motors!!!

I'm not to sure about removing 40 year old leather without damage. 40 years hasn't been kind to Formal leather. Most of the Formal leather I have seen has been very fragile.

I've replaced the complete interior of my 78 NYB twice and if I had to do it again I would find the best upholsterer I could have him make new leather seats. I was lucky to find a complete interior for mine that was in a climate controlled environment during its entire life. The car was rear ended badly. I also lucked out about 15 years ago and got perfect entire chrome from a car sitting in a junkyard in New Mexico. Beautiful perfect chrome except for the chrome guard on the bottom of the windshield. It was scratched up from the wipers.
