1967 Dodge Monaco two door

This is my 1967 Monaco 383 two door. Basically untouched and last registered in 1989! It was dragged out of a junk yard a few years ago and I bought it from the guy who rescued it. It runs (a bit smoky but good compression), I just redid the entire braking system, half the electrics (mostly cleaning connectors), revived reverse in the 727 and am now replacing the trunk floor, quarters and some of the floor pans. I also managed to score three colour matched Chrysler Road Wheels from a guy about ten minutes from my house which was awesome! He only had three so the search is on for number four....

Beautiful looking Monaco! Just a quick tip, that front bumper looks to be completely salvageable- just use coca-cola and crumpled up aluminium foil, douse it and rub. It's abrasive enough to scrub the rust off without scratching the chrome. You have to make sure to wax it or put some kind of protectively layer on afterwards, as the rust will eventually come back if exposed to oxygen.

Thanks! I’d heard about this but never given it a go. Tbh I’m going to keep it looking as is and protect it/prevent it from getting any worse.

I got the trunk pan and extensions from Classic 2 Current along with a front right floor pan. To be honest they're pretty much garbage. It's good metal but the fit and stampings are not great so you need to do a lot of fabrication if you're using them to replace the entire pan as I was. That said if you're looking at the price of sheet and the costs are close they're a pretty good starting point. Like I said they're not really drop in parts (especially the extensions) but they're a decent enough starting point if you're able to get creative.

I just swapped them out! They were a pain TBH because the aperture for the nut was too narrow to fit a socket inside. I had lathed down one the previous owner made!

Ok so massive update for anyone who's interested! Let's see, trunk pan, extensions, quarters front and rear of the wheel arches, patch wheel well liners, patches under the sills, floor pan pax side, full brake system, full fuel system, most of the electrics, oil and water temp gauges, wiper and washers fixed, paint and protect (the externals are staying as is)! The welding is ugly because a) I'm using a Harbour Freight flux core welder and b) I have no idea what I'm doing I'M SORRY ABOUT THE ROAD WHEELS! I like them on this car because the car is already a bit ridiculous so why not? They're 15x6 with 235/70 15s front and 255/70 15s rear (too big for a 6 inch rim I know). I'm just waiting for a fuel filler neck and a wheel stud and I might actually be able to register this thing! Lots to do still but all nice to haves not need to haves

Hey thanks for the info - I'll definitely search them out - although shipping costs to the UK are pretty steep at the moment - I'm ok with creative though!
