1966 Chrysler Imperial 4dr Hardtop - $35,000 - Walnut Creek, California

FB Description

You probably will not find another 1966 Imperial in this condition. Just about everything is new and or rebuilt.

The car looks gorgeous. I’d like to see what is under the dash cover and the steering wheel wrap.

@detmatt — do I see dual exhaust pipes? How does that fit into this discussion?

You know on a car that looks like this overall it is somewhat possible that the owner put covers on these 2 pieces to protect them and keep them pristine but my better guess is that they’re both less than perfect and the covers are there to hide the cracks.
As far as the dual exhaust? Why not add it? I bet it’s louder than the whisper quiet it was when it left the factory. I’d have a hard time not putting duals on anything that didn’t have them that I was working on although I’m about to…

Lotsa cash for a four-door, but this one is unlikely to be topped. Beautiful car, and likely a lifelong California-registered Imperial, judging from the black/yellow tags and the letter sequence.

There are some cars that I like better in 4dr than in 2dr hardtop form, and that vintage of Imperials is one of them. The corresponding Cadillacs (1965-1968), too. Now, convertibles are another matter entirely.
