Disc brake booster question

Sorry to hear that. I have a Old Forge line flaring kit. I can't say that a broken nipple is ever happened, at least to my recollection. I thought the reason for the double flare was the shape of the master cylinder outlet, distribution block inlet/outlet, disc brake caliper inlet, drum brake wheel cylinder inlet, that you use the line fitting to fasten the brake line against. Maybe what you are fastening the line against is reshaping the end of the line to give you something like a double flare?

I'm not sure if I understand correctly. You gotta flare the end of the line with a flaring tool, it will flare it out and inwards and then you go at it with just the cone shaped tool to fold it inwards. So you essentially get a flare that is double walled for strenght. The single flare is apperantly not DOT approved to have on brakelines... I wonder how that is for AN flared firrings because they are NOT inverted double flares!? Anyway, cheap harbor freight flare tool so i am not surprised, ordered a replacement and will continue with it. I decided I'm making new lines for the entire front!

I thought you were using a double flare tool, but weren't able to finish the double flare. That's my mistake.

Thats what essentially was the case. The adapter that did the double flaring broke on me. Got a new one so I'm backbin the game! Moving to the passenger brake line now, that seems fun to bend it into shape lol
