looking for basically stock pics of engine.
the color should be turquoise Yes? of engine.
should the air cleaner be black wrinkle? with pie tin?
mine is gloss black with 383 decal

What is the engine? 5th digit of Vin L or N. Does your air cleaner have:
1 snorkle
2 snorkles
zero snorkles

Here's what mine looks like, I think it was some kind of mid year special edition

It wouldn't be turquoise would it? Blue for lopo orange for hippo.

I keep forgetting you all have big garages with lifts
Ha! No lift for me.
And I started this hobby on a small patch of concrete outside my mom's house barn, changing rear ends out in the cold of winter and my first car sat outside 24/7/365. And many after that.

This might help until someone offers something closer. It's a Chrysler and a TNT and it's orange, but otherwise should be similar.
At some angles, if it has AC, there's not much to see.

My 1970 440, wrong color air cleaner but factory intake and HP exhaust manifolds.
I believe you are right about black wrinkle on the air cleaner.
I'm sure you are right on the turquoise engine paint.
Plymouth should be Super Commando pie tin,
383 Pie Pan

I don't know how relevant this will be since it's a 318 with one snorkel in a '69 Fury III, but it is totally stock. Anyway, if you look right under the oil fill cap on the valve cover (one of a few spots that still has the paint) you can see that it is indeed, turquoise. The air filter on mine is not a wrinkle paint but a regular gloss black. Hope this helps!

Your color should be turquoise, IIRC 1971 starts the discussion of whether non-HP engines are turquoise or blue. (383-4 in a C-body is controversial, vs B-body, for whether it's an HP engine, so don't get hung up on that for the purposes here)
1971 440 T-code Engine repaint -- questions and opinions?

The accurate color in spraycan is difficult to obtain. Mopar's version is now incorrect hue, reportedly Bill Hirsch has a good one but pricey and/or weeks to obtain?
I've found Detroit Diesel Alpine green is a reasonable substitution unless one is a purist.
It is a bit lighter than this picture shows, though, look at the water pump vs the front cover, which is the correct Mopar turquoise from Summit.

Here are some samples I did, the 'original' is an old can of Mopar paint from Summit.

This is the closest I've got for no AC.
Is a 71 Polara copcar, so the paint color is iffy, breather on the passenger side VC and the aircleaner are different.
71 has multiple hoses off the breather and 1 wraps around back of the aircleaner to connect on the driverside snorkel.

Here's a 70 Fury but with AC.

mine came from previous owner with a quick respray bluish turquoise, and is it suppose to have a 383 pie tin? mine has a 383 pietin decal, doesn't look bad. is the aircleaner suppose to have black wrinkle paint?
