Chrysler sponsored TV shows

It still all goes back to The Beverly Hillbillies as Mecca for the diehard Mopar Spotter.

That's right, he was peddling them until or close to the end of the marque. His TV show was sponsored by DeS.

And the Chrysler theater...

At least they got the continuity right. What movie was it that the car lost seven wheelcovers in a chase scene....

The Green Hornet 1966-67. The main character drove a 1966 300 convertible by day and of course the modified Imperial, Black Beauty as the Green Hornet.

I think the squad cars were green in NYC back then, but I've heard that story too.

The story I heard about "Car 54 Where Are You" was they painted the squad cars red instead of blue so they could legally drive them around the streets of Manhattan without looking like the real blue NYPD cars. The show was in black and white so you couldn't tell.

Never heard that before cool story.

Sky King had 50's chrysler wagons.......seems like one was a 2door version. Plus that 310 Cessna!
