Hi everybody,

It is time to make plans for the 2025 season, especially when you travel from abroad to the anniversary edition of BBTR. We set the date and we are planning some special things for the 10th event, so watch this space!

If you need help with accommodation or any information, let me know. Or check out our website www.bbtr.de - which should give already some answers.

Thank you for the invitation and the wonderful reception @Georg/BBTR , and many thanks also to @ceebuddy @Arnoldsat and Marko for taking me around so kindly.

This was my first hint that I was in the right place. Really cool gathering!

I hope you’ll enjoy today even more, @ayilar, when we cruise with 60 Fuselage C-Bodies through the Moselle valley.
I sure did. Guy and @Arnoldsat both offered me a ride — so nice to meet them and chat with them last night and to ride in Arnoldsat’s 1971 Newport today.

It was very nice also to meet @300L and @Lycidias in person, as well as Henk and other enthusiasts. The cruise was a GREAT idea — and I sure enjoyed @ceebuddy and his better half’s invitation to join them for lunch.

Thanks to @Georg/BBTR and all!

A few photos from Friday evening. 1970 Hurst 300 and 1971 Newport from the Netherlands, T-code 1970 Sport Fury — The owner told me it is only known one with that top.

Street photo. Only fuselage C-bodies at BBTR.

The C-bodies are directly next to the river:

Three 1970 models were guarding the entrance — SFGT, Polara and 300:

As I said, nearer the river and you need a boat. Here’s a paisley-top ‘71 Plymouth Gran Coupe. Superb car, marching original interior, only thing I’d change are the wheels. These look good, I’m just a fan of the originals.

@Lycidias came with two cars. His HB1 « baby blue » 1973 NYB hardtop, and a super-cool Opel Commodore that he restored from a shell a dozen or so years ago. To say that I was impressed is the understatement of the year.

The car, which was originally sold in Sweden and was therefore factory-lowered to pass the « elk test », was parked right outside the gate — near German, Dutch and Belgian flags.

If I understood correctly, this 1969 Polara ´vert has joined every one of the ten BBTR events. She’s based in Holland.

Here’s a 1972 Fury iii hiding @Lycidias´s 1973 NYB. Very nice cars!

IMG_9003.jpeg

Just a few cars away was another blue 1973 NYB — pretty rare to see any of those, let alone two blue ones!

IMG_9026.jpeg

Walking along the river side, I found this K-code 1971 Fury iii

On the other side was this 1973 Monaco parked near a 1972 T&C:

Here’s a tinted 1971 NYer from Switzerland — black with blue interior:

And here are some more. Yes, this is a second Hurst — this one is based in Luxembourg.

Thank you for the many great photos and comments @ayilar

But please let me know the next time you take a picture of my Sport Fury, so I can close the trunk lid first ;)

Ooops, sorry -- happy to take the photo out and edit my post. Just PM me in that case?

It was once again a very successful event! Many thanks to the organizers and the team!
I didn't take many pictures. I was either chatting with other participants or holding a bottle ;)

No problem. Just a little joke from me.

It was a great pleasure to speak with you, even if only briefly, and get to know you personally. Next time, please stay longer.

My absolute favorite!

During the trip, I had a problem with the exhaust. But it was solved with the available resources (stones and wire), so I was able to drive home.
