Thanks! Here’s the window sticker of YM43T3C1491521973 Chrysler Imperial | eBay
First, a quick summary of this car’s history. I originally bought it in 2011 with just 107,000 miles. A couple of years later, I had the engine professionally rebuilt. In 2016, I sold the car, but ended up buying it back in 2018. Since then, I’ve focused on keeping it mechanically strong and making improvements where possible. However, the car does now need some bodywork, and since I don’t have the skills or experience with paint and body restoration, I’ve made the tough decision to let her go.
The car currently has 121,000 miles, and here’s an overview of its condition:
Engine: The engine (440 cid) has approximately 14,000 miles since its professional rebuild. It features a 9.5:1 compression ratio, 440 Source Aluminum Stealth cylinder heads, a 224/230 hydraulic Comp Cam, adjustable aluminum rocker arms, an aluminum intake manifold, and a Holley Sniper EFI system paired with a HyperSpark distributor. I have the original carburetor and intake. A high-capacity aluminum radiator has also been installed. This engine setup alone represents a significant investment. Easily could be driven cross-country.
Electrical: New high-amperage alternator, new fuel pump.
Air Conditioning: A modern R134 compressor was installed about a year ago. The system blows cold, but since the original A/C controller is not functional, operation is managed through dedicated aftermarket switches. See picture.
Suspension: Recently serviced with several new components, including a pair of new front shocks. A new (rebuilt) power steering box was installed this month (Aug 2025).
Brakes: In good working condition, though the rotors will need replacement in a near future.
Tires: White wall tires with less than 5,000 miles of use.
Interior: The front seat has been reupholstered, while the rest of the interior remains original and in good condition. All power windows, locks, and seats function properly, as does the original stereo. The power antenna has been replaced with a manual one. It has auto headlights and trunk release.
Body: The paint is mostly original and shows fading throughout. There are two notable rust spots, each about 2 inches in size, located on the front left fender and rear left fender. Aside from that, only minor surface rust is present.
Additional Note: The hideaway headlight doors are working perfectly. A few years ago, the floor was inspected and fitted with insulation, which makes the cabin quieter and prevents heat transfer from the floor, even on longer drives. Please watch this video. Items has trunk release working.
Items not working:
Cruise control, clock and A?C controller.
I have a couple of videos that I am going to upload to YouTube soon. Feel free for ask questions.
