Lots of good stuff there. Hope your keeping some spare parts for yourself.
 
I'd like to see that to go on a genuine daily beater rod as-is.
Kinda cool in a cheapskate kinda way.
 
Looks like alot of the cars I've been coming across down here in the salvage yards.These things seem to rust out in the weirdest places.It really would've been something if they used some good metal protection back in the day,but my guess is they weren't expecting to get fifty years use out of these things.
 
That WAS! state of the art 46 years ago. Read a '68 brochure and read about their rust proofing process. For the times, it was fairly thorough.
Plus the guys on the paint line had xx seconds to do each car as they sped by. NOW, all painting is robotic.

Man i'm seeing some goodies, There are alot missing from my newport in the dash area.
