That smashed car was a Fury III, the trim is thicker (and uglier in my opinion) that the trimmer version used on the Fury II. Have a gander at the pics below (from the 1969 Fury factory brochure) and compare:

I have read that the Aussie Dodge Phoenix was based on the Fury III [certainly the Fusie cars, 1969 to 1971 models sold here, then discontinued to be replaced by the local The Chrysler by Chrysler (what a name lol)]. However, my '69 Phoenix 4-Door Sedan appears to have that nice thin Fury II trim. I will check, in the meantime here is a pic of it de-trimmed....

It's getting confusing now. I need the molding for the Admiral, (69 Fury Custom Suburban).
The parts book shows it to be a Fury II trim level. BUT..... The part number of the moldings matches the part number of a Fury III sedan.
A Fury III level Suburban is a Sport Suburban, whole different animal, (wood grain).
A Fury I Suburban used the small trim mentioned above, and no trim on the sedan.

It appears that what I need is a L/rear door body side molding from Fury III sedan, or custom Suburban, (Fury II).

Hmmm are they the same ???

Wagon trim is longer than the sedan by 3"-4"

If I read the parts book right the part number is 2933773

Thanks Alan, but my parts book shows the same part number for a Custom Suburban, (Fury II), and a Fury III four door sedan.2933769, (left rear door). 2933773 is a molding for a Custom Suburban, left 1/4 panel.

I bought a NOS rear door seal for a sedan and it's also the same application for a Suburban, I'm pretty sure the doors are the same.

My mistake, I read your post wrong, the 2933769 is the left door (I hope that is what you ordered)

Deception Pass, Valley Vintage and Brad's all show they have it.

Alan

And it's all the same one.
They all list it it. They all don't have it.
Ask them for a pic. Only one of them can provide it.

With these three I wouldn't question it, now Collectors Auto Supply is a different story.

Alan

Brad's needs to update it's inventory, a lot of parts listed on parts voice are N.A. on his web page.

Good result. The odd thing is that the '71 Phoenix I have appears to have very similar trim to your '69 wagon.

The '69 Phoenix I have appears to have Fury II side trim yet has Fury III wheel arch trim. Odd...

I bought a lot of stuff from him. 1/2 decent prices but personalized service.
He isn't like he used to be, though.
