Sox & Martin Omni O24

There where two of these. This particular car was sold to Jerry Hurley & was repainted. It was driven by Dempsey Hardy. It crashed bad & was destroyed. Oil got under tires. Car rolled on top of guard rail. Dempsey was injured with broken bones. I have a neat pic of Bob Gliden adjusting the wheelie bars on this car. Will try to find it. The second O24 now belongs to a collector. Still has its S&M colors

When Dempsey Hardy drove it

I always liked these Onmi Chargers. By the way this is a small block car. The car in the posession of the collector is a Hemi car. Alban Gauthier originally bought the Hemi car & raced it. I'll try to locate some pics of it when Alban owned it

Dempsey's crash

My friend Dan Williams got these pics for me. This was the small block car. This was a bad one. Also want to take the time to thank Ron Kirkpatrick, Bret Keepner, & Angel Cordero

Those Omni 024 bodies are great little race cars, their proportions are still okay after the rear drive conversion. There was a V8 Direct Connection k frame at Carlisle a year or 2 ago made me want to go and get one of these bodies

Dave you should have bought that. The L body kits are rare. One of the guys I race with just bought one. It's painted like the red Wayne Co Speed Shop car. Car was for sale locally on C list. 451 low deck/727 race pack electronics. 13 K. He's going to have to run it in top so I want get to like up against him

Staging dual

Dave what do you think about the staging dual in the finals yesterday? That's the third time recently I have seen Allen start a staging dual & then loose on a holeshot.
