001.jpg002.jpg005.jpg006.jpg014.jpgAny suggestions for my next step. It starts, runs, drives, and stops. Sounds and rides so smooth, has the "Tow Package, 7 blade fan, larger radiator, probably for the heat in the desert, suspension etc... new interior is next any suggestions, can I do it myself? Headliner looks easy, what about the top? seal it and say "let's ride" or can I flip this one and start looking for a New Yorker or a 300? so many questions??

Step 1. Start driving it.
Step 2. Figure out what annoys you most.
Step 3. Either fix what annoys you most or figure out how to ignore it. (I'm never good at ignoring it)
Step 4. Drive it more, lather, rinse, repeat.

There'z that FLIP WORD again. You've owned ah dame nice car for less then a month. What'z wrong with just driving it 'til the frickin' wheelz fall off? Welcome to the FBCO BTW, Jer

Flip it to someone who actually wants it. It's not a damn object that temporarily amuses you while you
ponder its value until it no longer keeps you entertained or ceases to draw attention to you from others.

I know nothing about art. Zero. Uneducated in it and find it boring and then sickening when an anonymous retard pays 3.5 mil for one.
I want to buy one so I can join fine art forums and soak up the glow of being a temporary attention ***** until I find a rare Yo-Yo that draws feel-good comments from Yo-Yo collectors. FWIW, I have no appreciation for Yo-Yos. I will sell my pc. of art, and move onto Yo-Yos for awhile.

I'm feeling extra angry about this touchy topic this morning and I truly regret you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. For that I apologize to you personally.
I can't apologize for my love of the cars themselves instead of merely having possession of one.

This is my standard End of the Week rant that will burn out, as usual, by 5:00 pm...
Cheers. :D

My first was my dad's car , a "Big Blue" as our family called it. 1968 Chrysler new Yorker. It's a long story. I myself love these cars! the long hood the torque, the space, They are everything to me. I am new to the "arena" of having so much to do with so little. I look to you and matt for guidance. Your opinion is always welcome, and I can sift through all the bs to grab what I need. Let's not forget I spent a major part of my life on the flight deck of aircraft carriers, so I feel my decision making skills are in place. But you can never put a price on actual experience and you are the guys who have it. I love this thing, my Newport. To me it is art!

Settle down

Then you are a good man in my book.
Thank you for not taking it as an attack on you. It wasnt.
Just trying to weed out the facts to see what direction you should go with on this fine car.
Congrats on scoring this beauty and a hearty welcome to FCBO!
You made the cut. Lmao.

I want to drive them all before I die, So as well built as these cars are, if I drove'em till the wheels fall off I would probably only own 1 or 2.

I think what Stan and I are saying here iz that as ah car enthusiast you are more then welcome here and enjoy your stay and let the brain pickin' begin. We all love the big C-body iron, that'z why we're all here. But just the word FLIP offendz every one on this site. Oh and Swabby, let me be the 1st to say thank You for your service and that comez from a Jar Head that only missed Korea by two yearz , but I did kick A$$ in the Tijuana Campaign, Jer

I want to "try" and keep it as original as possible, The vinyl has some heat cracks, should I clear, to try and seal it to prevent water/rust/ damage, or encourage it to give me reason to make a convertible!

I am a vinyl roof hater. If it was my car, I would remove the vinyl at the minimum to see what amt. of damage it caused under there, fix that, and then take it from there.

I think There are a few "golden busts" on the wall in Tijuana, in my image! I am a combat "gulf war" guy. And Tijuana was just my "training ground" I made it around the world 3x by age 23, so perspective is one thing I do posses! Great place to be!

Really, even on this model. Man, I don't know. Gold metallic flake, white vinyl top, 1971 Detroit steel, it's almost a pimp starter kit! Ha...The tires and wheel are very skinny, but factory, I'm not looking for 22" spinners, but maybe some wider, 18" thruster American racing? might "mean" it up a bit, again I know it's a 4-door,

This may be a "new" concept, and I know judgments will fly, but remember, they "judge" you if you jump, and they "judge" you if you go down with the ship. So maybe have a little fun with it, It's phoenix remember, South PHX at that. So many customs, survivor originals, etc.. here. I know she's only original once. but once the "lotion " does not work anymore, maybe time for the knife!
Oh, my.....

And I waz a seasoned East L.A. war veteran at the ripe old age of 14. A mile south of San Diego iz where we went to hone our skillz. You and I can show each other our scarz someday and trade storiez
