Chrysler 300

In 1955 Tim Flock dominated NASCAR & USAC. Early Hemi power. His brother Fonty drove a team car & won a lot of races too. Sponsored by the owner of Mercury Outboard motors

I've seen some of the restricter platez used in the late '60s and early '70s. Looked like real aluminum when you looked down the throats and at idle. But at about 3500 when they really started suckin' gobz of air the edges of the brittle cardboard platez painted silver snapped off and were eaten and blown rite thru' the exhaust. lol... They couldn't protest 'cuz they were all doin' it. Not just the Mopar crew and I've had samplez in my handz from 426s and 440s that are now display case wall hangerz.

A fresh new Hemi

Dale Inman. Richard Petty's long time crew chief helps change out a Hemi for the Superbird

Pettys Charger

This pic was taken at a hugh private collectors home in England. I believe it was in 2012. Richard is driving. They set up a small area to run vintage race cars. Petty said he had a blast driving this car again. W2 355 small block
