Wollfen's 1971 Sport Fury GT !

Okay a b it of an update, I had a look in the glove box and found a pile of interesting items, check the pics to see. Also, I took a pic of the fendertag too. I also found the original broadcast sheet in the back of the seat, as yet to be removed. I want to find a plastic slip for it first.
I also had a chat to the former owner today too and he said that he will dig through and find nay other paperwork on th car and send it to me, :) He also informed me that the engine has already had the heads done and has a new oil pump fitted, I also found a gasket kit in the back too. More good stuff!
No, I havent started wrenching on it. 12.jpg13.jpg14.jpg16.jpg17.jpgfendertag.jpgtrunk badge.jpg

This was a major score. I envy you.
Thanks Stan, I hadn't seen the car personally before it arrived so i was going on pictures only and I can say that I was certainly rather nervous about what it might be like once it turned up. Luckily I have been pleasantly surprised and glad I took the punt, I also have to give a nod to Aidan who has been a help as well. He and I have been cooperating on a number of projects now to our mutual benefit. I am expecting to see his input soon I'm sure.

Okay a bit of an update, I found a small paper bag sealed in the center console, I originally thought it was empty since it had no weight in it, imagine my surprise in finding these things. GT badge and 440 badge and radiator cowl decals.
Plus the second pic shows the Jack, two different colors but appears to be correct?
Lastly the rust, while there are some holes they wont take much to repair but upon inspection I can now see that the rails are rusted out because of nests inside, lots of nut shells in there. Rats?17.jpgjack.jpgunnamed (1).jpgunnamed (2).jpgunnamed (3).jpgunnamed.jpg

Lol, I been busy, I will take some more tomorrow for yas. I got a charger im trying to finish to sell, i might post pics of that in the non cbody section.

Excellent mate, excellent. Good to see it's at it's rightful destination safe and sound. It will be a classy machine when back on the road, I think your search is over.

Congrats on the purchase. Its weird how it looks to be in such great shape in most areas with that much frame rust. I wouldn't believe it if you didn't sow those pictures. Do you think it sat outside in the weeds with a car cover? At any rate I like it a lot and wish you the best with the resto. It would be great if you could fix the rust and save the exterior paint and interior.

Dave

Thanks Aidan,
I think you might be right, while my preferred car would have been the 70 Fury this car is so nice and I can tell that the previous owner did have a passion for it, it just got beyond him is all. I will certainly do it justice and its taking up permanent residence.

Hi Dave, thanks for the kudos.
I talked to the guy a few times and I beleive that there was no rust in the car at all except for the front chassis originally, once that started to rust he put it in his garage to work on it but time got away from him. Then rats or mice made nests in the rear rails and that started the rot there. Those rear rails are full of nut shells and other nasty stuff.

Wow, congrats on one sweet ride! I love the color combo, always love green with white interior and top, just looks right. I'm glad you got it from an appreciative owner, not some investment banker minded soul. And it's also nice to have all that paperwork with the potential of more on the way. You got one of the crown jewels of the C bodies, you should be proud. I will be following this one closely. By the way, love the trailer hitch!
