A '76 2-door NY with a 4-speed.

It's a beautiful car and I hope it doesn't become a powertrain donor for a Duster. I actually could get used to the white scoops, although I would never have put scoops on a Formal myself. I wouldn't have put all of those little emblems on it either, but to each their own.

I saw a Fusie Chrysler with the same style scoops on the hood and didn't like them on it. For some reason, I don't mind the look on the car pictured below.

Maybe it's the paint job that makes the difference, IDK. It better have an engine that justifies the look. :)

I could live without the lettering and the racing decals though. Again, just about personal preferences.

I just "found" and watched Stan's video. The car was a lot closer to what I would like then. I wouldn't have done a thing to the outside... IDK how the inside was before it sold. Interesting project, wish there was a happier ending.

Two things will be said at Stans Funeral.

1. The Embalmer did a great Job.
2. I cant believe he put a 4speed in a NYer

. I can picture a lot of half dismantled cars as less determined individuals try. I would have liked her better with Road Wheels and a sleeper look, but thats just my taste. Now that its been done... back to preserving the character of these cars, please.
When I had it, it had road wheels, no scoops, no tach, no bling, no emblems, no anything.
It looked bone stock.Even the exhaust was stock. It was not a flucked up hack job.
The only thing that messed up people's minds was when they saw the Hurst shifter and the third pedal.
It was simply a NYB with a 440 built to 1969 TNT specs and a A833 transmission with a 3.55 open rear. As god would have wanted it. So I did it as A Mission From God.

It was something that I had wanted to do since the 70's. A full sized car with a big v8 and four speed and be as close to possible to if the factory did it. Just like the 60's.

Stan,, Why did you selll that car.....?

Also,, was that an 18 spline or a 23 spline trans....?

23 spline spline outta 66 C-body.
Sold it beause my current NYB which had been my first choice since day one came along at a killer price. Had to buy it. Once here, something had to go.

It would appear that nothing that has been done to this car that cannot be undone. I hope a true enthusiast picks it up, shakes the ugly bits off of it, and honors the spirit of the initial conversion. If I had enough loose change, I would go grab it (I actually have the room for it). I have a very real and sincere reverence for how this car was initially converted. Those well versed in the art of such a transformation really should put a "manual" together for how to accomplish this.

I like it... it was "just right" before the BS was added. The BS can be removed... dont know how much damage was caused though. We might just see things enough the same we will either get along great or hate each other when we meet...
A black one. Just can't decide if it should be a 2 or 4 door...
This is NOT going to help us get along...
If I ever get a formal this car gives me inspiration except I'm going 5 speed for some long legs.
If you really want another project... you have more going on than some shops I know of... The Miami car is down to a grand OBO... you might get it for the 440 build core value soon, which is all she seems to be worth. Its something your friends in Florida would love to help you with... It will be needing an antenna when you get it though. Fumbuck County really comes to life in the third week of March if you want a good party. You will find more than just wintering Canadians who cant find the beach that weekend.

I just found a white on white on white St Regis that might be a good candidate but I would just run it at first, have to get some of these other projects kicked further along.

Stan's unicorn was around the $4500 range last time I noticed it for sale.
With the rebuilt 440 and his 4 speed install, that seemed really cheap. I wonder what shape it is in now? I recall someone mentioning parting it out. Anyone know?
PS the scoops do look better in white, still don't care for them though.

That sounds great... except the St Regis part... but I could deal with it. What year is it?

If I put a speeder in one it would not be for a while. Jeff I'm not sure what year it is, a friend of mine told me where it was sitting and it took a while to find so it still moves, already has a antique title so that $100 savings. I have to go back and see if it is even for sale.
