Last autumn did buy this car. No rust desert etc car. Yup, suuuure.
383 4bbl engine, 727, no suregrip 8 3/4, AC, right side mirror, front disc brakes, driver power seat, buckets with buddy seat, white vinyl roof.
Engine is busted, coolant in cylinders and oil pan. Dunno yet why.
Rust. Have to replace passenger side front floor, trunk floor and fix back window channel and front window passenger side corner.
Interior is exploded under desert sun.
Plans... first rebuild engine so i get it back on road. Change interior from brown to black. Fix rust problems. Maybe add 300 grille, lights etc. Rebuild suspension, bigger torsion bars, bigger sway bar to front and add sway bar to rear, rear disc brakes, A518 swap, 17" or 18" wheels, paint it red or yellow or blue with black vinyl roof., power windows, back seat with center speaker and arm rest.... etc. Its never ending project. :) But i keep inside and outside "stock" looking.

Few pictures of my previous cars.
My first car ever. Did buy it at -90. Dodge Dart Custom 4d. 360, A999 and ...drum rolls please.... 7 1/4 with sure grip :) It could handle 12.9 passes at 1/4 mile and serious burn outs with 245 tires :) I think it was from 66 Barracuda. Car was stripped down, painted, engine rebuild with 290cam, headers, Edelbrock Performer, headers, Holley 750dp etc... best ever was 12.9 at 1/4mile, even with all those shitloads heavy bumpers etc.
Then got bored with 4d and wanted ponycar. But E-bodys was way too expensive for young guy. So i did buy 1975 (if remember correct) Pontiac Firebird 400 Formula. That was a chick magnet.... ooh those days.
After that got 1 Chevy van, no pics. Nothing special.
Then at 2000 did buy 1985 VW Golf 8v Gti, 112hp.... :) It was a rust bucket, but learned how to turbo cars, installed turbo, big brakes, good suspension, but did nothing to body. Last hp was 238hp on 920kg car. It was fast and fun car. It went to crusher at 2008. Just way too rusty, should have replace everything under windows :)
After that i fooled my wife, we need another family car. Daily driver was 1997 VW Golf Variant with 1.9turbo diesel.
And did buy 1995 VW Golf Vr6 syncro 190hp. After 4months installed 125hp Nos kit. And damn it was fun car. It has Brembo Gt junior front brakes, Koni suspension etc suspension goodies. Many many Audis, Mercedes, BMWs got surprised :) Now im installing turbo kit on it, it should have 420-450hp after that. But im selling it away, need money for Newport.
2009 Did buy with my little brother a 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger 318cid. After 3 months bro did buy it, tho i repaired it and updated it. He rolled over 60k km in 3 years. It was his daily driver.

Wow. I wished I had the time, tools, expertise and place to take on a project like that. I salute you.

(Fender tag: screws; not rivets....)

Oh, man... I would keep my eye on used blocks for sale if I were you.

Just in case...

Few more pictures.

Hey! Nice project you got there, and its neat you found the original broadcast sheet under the seat. That is like finding buried treasure. Also like those HP exhaust manifolds you got there and the factory A/C. Mighty fine !

Actually did find 3 sheets. 2 under backseat and 1 under passenger front seat. Did only remove 1 from backseat. Left 2 other in seats, just too brittle to try remove them.
I will sonic etc test heads and block before i do anything them.
Next weekend i remove passenger side head. I hope i find blown headgasket, if not....

Passenger side head is off. 2 and 4 was full of sand like rust. Pistons looked like some 15:1 with high domes :) :)
Bad news. No obvious reason why coolant is inside engine. Head gasket looked fine.
Good news. Engine is so stuck, could easily open crank bolt. Tho cant see if there is hole in cylinder.
Next. Start planning how to lift engine from car.
EDIT. Strange thing is, all bolts open easily. Even exhaust manifolds etc.

1989 (or so) at Motopark i did see 1970 2d HT Monaco, white body with black vinyl roof and hood with six pack scoop. That did leave small itch on me. Even i always liked and wanted E-body.... 1970 Challenger. When was little kid i was on my mother relatives Stock Challenger middle of gages on backseat, i loved it. :) :)
But then 2010 i did see this video WHAT are these sleek looking big cars. After starting studying these. First was i want !970 Monaco, but more i learned i wanted a 1970 Chrysler 300.
But because those are so damn rare (at Finland), i bought 1969 Newport at 2015 autumn. What is luckily a sister model of 300.
Since 2010 i have build my dream car like hundreds if not thousands time in my mind. Color was always deep red, like inferno red or curious yellow or some electric blue. With black vinyl roof. Tough also a matte black hood, but that is ugly... :)
But after seeing that Red 1971 Fury... it is.... I want it red with black vinyl roof. I like some contrast.
But because im "broke" atm, I will make it Murdered look. Shitloads of Plastidip and all black. Tho i hate it, but dont like "antique" look either.

Today did more cleaning inside. So dont get asthma attack when go inside, dont even have ashtma. Had to use respirator mask. Last time didnt use it and next morning face was like being a punching bag. :) Wife didnt like after she noticed i was using her vacuum cleaner :soapbox:
Start. Little mold, fungus etc.

Next remove door panels etc. So can check/lubricate etc window regulators and door locks.

Result. Outside temp +24c (75F), inside car.. no idea but it was hot.... Sweated like a pig :)
Made mistake trying clean dash with wet/moist rag and dust turned like into concrete... Have to try gently brush it first.
