I am looking to sell my other Polara, I had originally purchased this car to do a CHP clone and along the way acquired a real CHP car. This car has had parts removed and is not complete primarily the inside door panels, some parts have been swapped out with lesser quality ones.

This car is somewhere between a project and a parts car.
It is fully operational, legal, has been my daily driver, is currently registered.

The car is a 318 automatic, power steering, power brakes, no A/C.
The body is solid and clean, it does have some rust issues.
Lower Quarters have been done with patches from a parts car.
Trunk pan is usable but has some minor issues.
The floor is probably is good shape but I believe the front passenger side has rusted through.
Lower fenders need to be done or redone.
Rear window leaks and has a couple obvious rust holes.

The front suspension is NEW, probably less than 1000 miles on it, new shocks and brakes on all 4 corners.

Anything less than $1500 and I pull the engine/trans and sell it for scrap.
I'd rather not but I have nowhere to keep it if I was to part it out.
If somebody is interested in the car less engine I can work a deal that would please most.

This car is still available but needs to go quick, I have no where to keep it. I also have a 70 Dodge D200 that also needs to go but not in a hurry. I am very open on both vehicles.

Here are a bunch that I too over the weekend...

I was wrong about the floors, they are solid, no rust on the passenger compartment floors, hard to say on the trunk without scraping away the bubbled paint.

don't kill it Alan
Somebody needs this but it'll cost too much to get, I don't want to give it away and really don't have anywhere to keep it.

I is a very solid car that is a driver, very new suspension, shocks, brakes.

I had a couple nibbles but the timing isn't good for either.

If I can't sell it maybe I'll go racing, 24 Hours of Lemons.

I'm still interested...just trying to get the money together (don't want to string you along). I really need those floor pans and left front fender. My buddy wants the 318. I'll email you. :)

Just saw the pictures. That is your daily driver? Uncle Buck can't beat you.:elmer:
It was my daily driver up till a few months ago, I wanted to reduce my 4 vehicles to 3 so I bought a 99 F250 and sold my 70 D200. Now that I am closing in on completion of the CHP I no longer want a project and I didn't see the D200 as a daily driver. This Polara isn't where I wan't it for a daily driver beyond this point, it was fine while I was holding onto it in the event I needed parts or reference. I had always planned on selling when the time came, just wasn't sure what I'd be doing for a daily driver, thought about a nice C-body but didn't want to wait till I had $12,000+ in cash, and really didn't like the idea of having to park it outside.

This car is getting closer to the scrapper every day.

Really sorry you're having so much trouble... I would have thought your CHP crowd would go nuts for this, even as a parts car... After all, that was where you started.

I really loved your P/U Alan, I'm glad you re-homed her. I wanted her, but just couldn't justify dragging her cross country for what I would do to a pickup...(I've already folded one tailgate being an idiot)

The reality is I only know of one in the works, he has a badly damaged car (tree fell on roof) so he got a parts car and a second CHP car. I tried to convince him his parts car was too nice to cutup.

Most are probably just fishing. There was a guy on eBay, awhile back, who bid on every big 60's Mercury on the first day. He never bought a car nor bid after the first day. I watched him to do that for several years. He never had any big Merc purchase in his feedback so it was just because...

Hmm, anybody? lot of good sheet metal, running engine (car is a driver, registered), new suspension.
