Another weekend I don't get to play with the cars. I am attending a small family reunion my brother put together in rural PA. Really cute little place we found last year. I will walk around and take pics to post later. I have to start making sure I secure my own transportation for this kind of stuff... nobody else is a car person in my family and I am bored to death in the mornings while they sleep.

Are they Vampires? Up all night sleep all day? Sorry watching too much walking dead lately lol besides Vampires usually have cool cars...

Well when you get up at 430 am, I think you might be spending some time alone. I am usually going to bed about that time and I see you up and posting.
Do you have to wake up the rooster in the morning or something? :p

My dad is the same way, he always was up before dawn, even retired he still does.

Enjoy your trip, I'm betting a little time away from this heat is enjoyable!!

I feel for ya. . . Last weekend we were at a memorial service for a brother-in-law. No car guys there. And the event ate up the whole weekend, so no wrenchin' - again - for the Ripper. But I'm gonna be under the car all day on Father's Day.

Edgewater Inn & Riverside Grill Alexandria, PA

Sorry, I got distracted once everyone came "back from, the dead". Stick a morning person in with the night owls... The EdgeWater Inn near Huntingdon PA... which is small and ruralish itself. Really cute, we had my grandmother's funeral in the area last year. Turns out the same weekend the rodeo was in town... found the place by shear happenstance. The original building was 1762 contruction and the additions were a moderate attempt to keep the vibe but offer modern amenities, at least modern whenever the additions were done. The place was nice and peaceful and the PA climate I could love.

I was only able to get Friday off, so it kinda made sense to team up with my brother on transportation... plus a cheap rental car was $500 at the airport thanks to some useless sporting event (PGA at Oakmont) I have no use for golf.

If I had more time, I would have reached out... plus gotten my own wheels somehow. Just got home for work tomorrow... but I have time next month.

Sorry to hear of your loss... and no car folks. Someday someone is going to have to explain racetracks to my family so my ashes don't wind up scattered on a baseball diamond... Infield, not infield...
I could see myself with a cold one on that porch...
Personally spent more time in the white chair watching the ducks... Sapphire and tonic, AM coffee and a few Barley soda's... after all I wasn't driving anywhere.

All with an endless stream of family members stopping by to catch up, except at coffee which was just as well. Even got to show pics of the twins to a few who were curious. My dad said "Nice, so you bought them as an investment?"... I should have lied, the look on his face changed when I explained they wouldn't likely ever break even and were for my pleasure.

Must have taken the picture at 4 o'clock. Everyone is gone for the early bird special.
Worse 10-11am... we had the place to ourselves Saturday morning, and I was the only one moving at that time, other than the help.

Very nice younger couple bought the place and have been trying to make it into something. I would love to stay there in July, but 90 minute drive has me thinkin "not".
