You seem to be describing the world view espoused by Robert Pirsig in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. It is better to obtain peace of mind through rational analysis and detailed understanding of technical workings rather than the superficial pursuit of living in the moment."It feels really good," he said. "Once you start to have some of these skills you just feel like a more complete person."
Wait until these fellas learn how to change a flat... the ladies are going to show them up once they get involved, then how "complete" will they feel?
Thanks, I never read that one... I'm not above living in the moment, but you nailed it with me.... true happiness is found in logic and understanding (for me at least). You seem to be describing the world view espoused by Robert Pirsig in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
