I am as poor as the rest . I just bust my *** to get things done. I have been doing this since the early 80's. I thought if I would show some of the projects I completed you would all get the drift. When you buy cars and Part them not only do you get your parts for free there is also money to be made on some. I try and buy what ever becomes available and related to the project I am working on. There is no bought lift on that truck all factory parts from different trucks that I bought. and if some of you would be friendlier My shop and info is open to all . Its not a business it is behind my double wide. There is always mopar guys here getting something done for cheap or free. we do it all . from fabrication to body and paint to race motors. My son just built our a trailer. he had so many offers to build more but we have other things to do for us.
I thought if I would show some of you guys that it doesn't take a lot of money . Just friends , know how and equipment you would be friendlier. Believe me I live on a fixed income and sell to buy then buy to sell. Our work is second to none in our eyes. Today I painted the frame on the excavator. When it dries we'll paint the yellow. I just keep busy. all our wraps and decals are free I bartered for that years ago. There is a 66 plymouth coming here for mini tubs and frame ties. we put a roof on a Subaru and pulled a frame on a Neon this past week. towed some trucks. Went for the roadrunner parts and a Roadrunner. some cars I lose money on and some I gain a lot. My wife does not let us use my pension Checks or SS for anything . I have less than two years and my house is paid then the gloves are off.
If you followed me on other sites you know I helped many out with parts they would have never been able to afford otherwise. And then I had a member rob me.
If you all don't like to go back in time and look at the pictures that is fine with me. I like going back fo a look at old cars. I have tons of pics of cars we had. It would take days to load them all. If its a problem and you all don't like pictures I wont' share. But you asking me for info after putting me down doesn't go well. I have tons of pics of every build. The springs are factory. When you can't afford a lift, lifting any truck takes thought not money. Everything we do or buy is bartered for or bought at easy pull. That chrysler was at Pete small blocks shop from street outlaws show. If you guys wouldn't be such dicks maybe people would do things for you. Most mopar guys stand with their arms crossed over there chest. The ones that don't get the breaks in life. Take that info to heart. I don't get the location on these cars that I buy treating others bad.
I don't know squat about the car parts for sale, just this thread in response that you gave. You called us crybabies. I said you whined. If that's being a dick, responding to one's name calling, then we're f*@ked as a culture. As I said I don't follow a lot of what goes on on FABO, just happen to be dealing with my truck and Polara this last year. I just think you and others got off in the wrong foot. But whatever, I'm not losing any sleep over this, I got bigger things to worry about. I'm just saying you can approach things differently but I'm also not telling you how to act. I get your a big boy and know how to put your pants on. I have no problem with you, just puzzled why you are trying to impress us with all you've done. You have a nice car and have had many others in the past, so what? We are all in the same boat, we love our old Mopars. It's definitely different here vs FABO. I was there first then came here, and yeah they do things differently here, but they care more about there C bodies than a ton of guys care about their A bodies. We don't have every and anything available to buy to fix or repair or cars so sometime they overreact to a car being parted that could be saved by someone. Not my call to make, but I understand their passion and concern for keeping these cars on the road, in as great S number as they can. It seems to me that both sides got off to a rocky start, but I bet if you stick around, you'll find its not as bad as you're making it out to be right now. I'd love to see your car and have an extra body to help out (god knows how appreciated extra help is), but Pennsy is a little far to drive. And I like pics, they tell so many stories. You should start another thread with all the ones you have stashed away, I'd live to check it out. And I live dogs too. Just got a Rottweiler a week or so ago, dogs are awesome. So we got some things in common. I might not agree with you, or anyone, on all kinds of things, but we can still get along just fine none the less.
Oh, I don't do much in the morning because I work nights. And I'm kinda lazy more often than not. But I'm still driven by my cars, and what I want them to be. Stick around, maybe you'll change your mind.
Back to the truck, stock parts? That would be sweet to find all those, but up here in Rustland I think it'd be easier and cheaper to get an aftermarket lift kit. I'm all for factory available parts as I'm trying to use as much stuff that came from the factory, just think it would be a bigger task than I want to deal with. The truck.looks good though. I'll always love those boxy Rams.
