Finally thread was deleted

Is this just a stream of consciousness thread?

What time should I get out of bed to be at the swap meet at 8 AM? Should I pull that seat out of the minivan in case I find rims? Damn my dog snores loud. These glasses hurt my nose. I'm glad somebody invented contacts. Furnace just kicked on, more money for the gas company. I like orange cars like the guy who started this thread, does that mean something is wrong with me? '71-2 Plymouth B-bodies are great looking cars, but I'm always torn between the coolness of the Roadrunner and the two-tone look of a '72 Satellite Sebring Plus. My lower back is sore. This mattress is old. So many different kinds of mattresses. Feeling hungry. Better. Get out of bed. The floor is cold. Glad I pee'd an hour ago. I should put this phone down and get up.
If I were you I would stay in bed. I am up at 4:30 every morning. This time is for those who have ambition and at least own a car to apply their talent to and plan their day. From what I gathered this is not in your daily planning. Sleep is good. It promotes dreams that never become reality. Go back to bed and work on some of those dreams. Productivity will come your way one day. Thanks for joining this thread with your humility. You can always count on good advise from me. I got your back. But with what? LOL

The only way I am going anywhere is at over 200 mph I already survived under that.

I saw you guys frequent Carlisle. I sold parts at Carlisle for years. At the corner of the car corral Three spots at the corner of the building. Made a lot of my money there and had a blast. But when my son started racing all over the states we had no time and racing was more fun. I knew more of the crowd at the track from years back when we participated in the 80's.

We are going to try and get the Duster to the Carlisle race at Mountain raceway this year. also the mopar nationals. You guys will be surprise how fast the small block Duster is through the Exhaust with no Boost or NOS. hoping to dip into the 9's this year with the spare and Jack in the trunk . He plays oldies coming back the return. He shifts it a 8500 with 456 gears. we have lower gears this year and put it on a small diet. Never been on an 1/8 with the car. the only gear set we have is 488's we'll see what she does.

The new word record in the 1/8 with a pro-mod corvette powered by a pro-line Hemi is 361@220. 1/4 Drag radial record GTO 608@238 and breaking records everyday Now that is " haul in oats" LOL PSI.

Well, you seem OK to me, stick around, maybe one day you'll make the "you suck" list.

Why not I made every other list

old man, I'm lost as to what you are trying to say. We're all a bunch of crybabies, but you have posted all sorts of your accomplishments to show us how great you are and keep going. I've seen you on FABO but that's a bigger pond and I don't catch most of what happens there. This is a much smaller pond and yes, a lot of members will do anything to keep a car from being parted out. I'm not faulting you for that, I've done it too. But why try to make us "see the light"? Insulting us because our budgets aren't the same as yours doesn't mean the members here don't want their car restored, done, fixed, whatever. I'd love to have mine done, but I don't make a ton of money so I have to progress slowly. If not for my "dreaming", I wouldn't have decided how to build my Dart, a plain Jane pos 270 with a blown up /6 is going to become a GT/Hemi type clone. I've had a couple cool Mopars I sold so I could focus on my other cars, and so they wouldn't rot due to my hoarding of them. I sure wish I had that 68 Charger R/T still. Point is we all do what we can for our cars. If money is no issue, please pass some on to me! I wish I could build cars like a lot of more fortunate folks, but I can't, so I bust my *** to make more money to finish my cars so I can enjoy them. I think you got your feathers ruffled by the welcoming committee, they can be tough, but they are a good bunch of people who don't always agree but we be there for whatever help they can offer.

So with that said, what lift did you put in that truck? I love the height, that's about where I want my 72 to sit.

I am as poor as the rest . I just bust my *** to get things done. I have been doing this since the early 80's. I thought if I would show some of the projects I completed you would all get the drift. When you buy cars and Part them not only do you get your parts for free there is also money to be made on some. I try and buy what ever becomes available and related to the project I am working on. There is no bought lift on that truck all factory parts from different trucks that I bought. and if some of you would be friendlier My shop and info is open to all . Its not a business it is behind my double wide. There is always mopar guys here getting something done for cheap or free. we do it all . from fabrication to body and paint to race motors. My son just built our a trailer. he had so many offers to build more but we have other things to do for us.

I thought if I would show some of you guys that it doesn't take a lot of money . Just friends , know how and equipment you would be friendlier. Believe me I live on a fixed income and sell to buy then buy to sell. Our work is second to none in our eyes. Today I painted the frame on the excavator. When it dries we'll paint the yellow. I just keep busy. all our wraps and decals are free I bartered for that years ago. There is a 66 plymouth coming here for mini tubs and frame ties. we put a roof on a Subaru and pulled a frame on a Neon this past week. towed some trucks. Went for the roadrunner parts and a Roadrunner. some cars I lose money on and some I gain a lot. My wife does not let us use my pension Checks or SS for anything . I have less than two years and my house is paid then the gloves are off.

If you followed me on other sites you know I helped many out with parts they would have never been able to afford otherwise. And then I had a member rob me.

If you all don't like to go back in time and look at the pictures that is fine with me. I like going back fo a look at old cars. I have tons of pics of cars we had. It would take days to load them all. If its a problem and you all don't like pictures I wont' share. But you asking me for info after putting me down doesn't go well. I have tons of pics of every build. The springs are factory. When you can't afford a lift, lifting any truck takes thought not money. Everything we do or buy is bartered for or bought at easy pull. That chrysler was at Pete small blocks shop from street outlaws show. If you guys wouldn't be such dicks maybe people would do things for you. Most mopar guys stand with their arms crossed over there chest. The ones that don't get the breaks in life. Take that info to heart. I don't get the location on these cars that I buy treating others bad.

I don't know squat about the car parts for sale, just this thread in response that you gave. You called us crybabies. I said you whined. If that's being a dick, responding to one's name calling, then we're f*@ked as a culture. As I said I don't follow a lot of what goes on on FABO, just happen to be dealing with my truck and Polara this last year. I just think you and others got off in the wrong foot. But whatever, I'm not losing any sleep over this, I got bigger things to worry about. I'm just saying you can approach things differently but I'm also not telling you how to act. I get your a big boy and know how to put your pants on. I have no problem with you, just puzzled why you are trying to impress us with all you've done. You have a nice car and have had many others in the past, so what? We are all in the same boat, we love our old Mopars. It's definitely different here vs FABO. I was there first then came here, and yeah they do things differently here, but they care more about there C bodies than a ton of guys care about their A bodies. We don't have every and anything available to buy to fix or repair or cars so sometime they overreact to a car being parted that could be saved by someone. Not my call to make, but I understand their passion and concern for keeping these cars on the road, in as great S number as they can. It seems to me that both sides got off to a rocky start, but I bet if you stick around, you'll find its not as bad as you're making it out to be right now. I'd love to see your car and have an extra body to help out (god knows how appreciated extra help is), but Pennsy is a little far to drive. And I like pics, they tell so many stories. You should start another thread with all the ones you have stashed away, I'd live to check it out. And I live dogs too. Just got a Rottweiler a week or so ago, dogs are awesome. So we got some things in common. I might not agree with you, or anyone, on all kinds of things, but we can still get along just fine none the less.
Oh, I don't do much in the morning because I work nights. And I'm kinda lazy more often than not. But I'm still driven by my cars, and what I want them to be. Stick around, maybe you'll change your mind.

Back to the truck, stock parts? That would be sweet to find all those, but up here in Rustland I think it'd be easier and cheaper to get an aftermarket lift kit. I'm all for factory available parts as I'm trying to use as much stuff that came from the factory, just think it would be a bigger task than I want to deal with. The truck.looks good though. I'll always love those boxy Rams.

I don't have a problem with anyone, and I love to help all. I worked night shift for 18 years srtaight. 6 days a week and did the cars and built my garage in the day. I got this place in 92. before that I rented barns. I had a tow truck from my dad . That is all I had gotten from him. but it gave me a start. He was killed in 85 under a 73 Polara wagon. I was there and couldn't save him we were a Christian family. and he was always doing things for the lord. When That happened it made me hard and I never went to church again. There is a longer story of why the car fell on him and to this day i have to live with it.

I would help anyone. '

How I lifted the truck was easy. cut the frame purches off the frame that holds the leafs . I just cut the rivets and punched them out. I drop them 2 inches straight down and re-drilled and bolted them on.
I then saw that the dana in the 3/4 ton had higher blocks and taller leafs. so I use them The front dana 60 had taller purches and again taller springs . This put the front as high as the rear minus the 2 inches that I dropped the rear purches so I cut the rivets off of the front purches and dropped them with four 1/2 inch spacers on each side this gave me 2 inches and then made new shackles 2 inches longer this raise my 1/2 ton truck 4 inches with the 3/4 ton springs and the mounts I moved down.

I went to easy pull and save. There was some trucks there with 3 inch body lifts for the cab and bed mounts. I used them and raised the bumpers 3 inches so they matched the body. The truck rode perfect and handled all the power i threw at it. I will post some more pics. The truck was sold and went to texas and is now on you tube It is blue and looks like a big rig. I know its mine because of the rad support I made and the dual tank doors I install on a short bed. Also you can see the floor was moved up for the turbo and it was silver . also the harness I made and the trans shift solenoid I made. The three inch body lift was needed for the common rail to fit the truck

A lot of talent going on there so you could be an asset to this board. As LocuMob wrote it's up to you.
agreed. awesome work done over the years but we don't want to read a novel every time you post. I remember another member who used to have diarrhea of the mouth. he has since settled down to just short stories. we all love him now.

I am a one finger typest Just think if I would have took typing lessons. I will talk your ear off in person. Getting to know people you need to let hem know who you are and what you have done in your life. Some took me the wrong way. I am just an old guy who loves mopars. Today I took the tracks off the excavator to paint the carriage. I am hoping to make it look new with paint and decals do a couple of jobs to hide the resto and sell it to spend the money on the Roadrunner. I always have a plan and it always involves buying to sell and selling to buy. I have some nice John Deere garden tractors if interested. 322,318

Why did he ruin a nice truck. He also claimed he built it. Explaining how he fit the motor. He then deleted my posts and others he wrote. I posted on the video and he immediately. took all his post down and mine . So he wouldn't feel like an *** hole. You would no believe what happened to the truck during shipment. His mom bought it for him.
