Chrysler Pacifica Named Green Car Reports Best Car to Buy

I did that because Chrysler's technical prowess in hybrid tech is generally under assault. This award is fairly prestigous. The tech behind this vehicle's gas engine is actually more interesting, but that's not my point.

I assure you the effort behind this dwarfs the HeckKitten... and it won't receive 10% of the publicity.

I’m not going to open the link for lack of interest in the details but thanks for the highlight.

Well if cnn ends up talking about it, the story might be framed along these lines...

"The 2017 Dodge Challenger Hellcat...the auto industry's answer to white male privilege"

HAHA

The Hellcat and Demon strategy has paid off, allowing the Challenger to surpass Camaro sales some months this year, even though the Challenger hasn't really been updated much appearance wise since it came out.

Even the new Corvette ZR1 will have only 755 hp, well short of the Demon's output. I understand the new ZR1 has 11 heat exchangers to keep it cool, distributed through out the car.

I also believe the Pacifica represents significant progress in FCA syling and engineering prowess, with some really energized and capable engineers on that model. FCA had a bunch of these poeple at the introduction of the Pacifica at the Press Days of the Los Angeles auto show when they were first introduced. The engineers and designers present at the reveal were incredibly motivated and driven to excellence, unlike any previous reveals I have witnessed there. They were the right group to do the hybrid version. I would have confidence it what was achieved.

I am only a little disappointed by the lack of details in the article, but I can use Google to find anything technical I suppose.

Nice bait and switch, Carmine, but I almost didn't open yet another hellkitten thread... My main interest in that car and the demon is that I like that they are produced... I suspect I will never own one. A 1997 3.5L LHS or Concorde was a desired car (for me) for a long time... It's getting too unlikely I will find a nice one of those at a price I can stomach too.

My biggest problem these days is really I don't need another DD. I want preserve my limited registration funds and parking for fun for me cars... Now a Formal Electric Would turn me on!

I dislike Pony cars and Sports cars now that I would look totally assinine in one at my age. And I despise image cars like Bimmers (or is it Beemers). I believe a truck should be a truck. So what's left...
A Hellcat Charger. Plain white, no stripes, no carbon fiber, no bling wheels, no foo-foo, NO ANYTHING.
So I traveled down the Yellow Brick Road and did a Build Your Own last night after reading this thread....

:wideyed:

:wtf:

:BangHead:

:realcrazy:

:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Maybe I'll wash the F-150.
