1969 Chrysler 300 Series | eBay

About as stripped a convertible I have ever seen - has power brakes, but drums of course. A real cheapskate bought that car. And however much he wants to make of his honesty in describing the car, it is in Florida and there is rust at least around the wheel openings starting to rear its ugly head. That can't be good. And it has one repaint, without the stripes and improper addressing of the rust underneath.

Gawd !! That is a terrible paint job....
Has more orange peel than an orange grove...
And yes,, definitely has some rust issues..
Very pretty car tho ,,, from 20 feet .....

I remember it being for sale here in NY.. then it popped up in Florida a few weeks later.. flipper? Or snow bird? Hmmmm.

fresh repaint (probably less than 15 years old) with rust bubbles coming on the upper wheels lips would scare me to hell.

Probably a northern car. Will have rust in several other places, too.
They will show their ugly face when you remove the glossy paint

I don't know if it's being flipped or it's snow bird owned. It was here this fall, but the price was about the same. I said at the time that snow was going to be flying here and I'll bet it could be bought for much less... Perhaps someone did just that.

New York State plates with appropriate inspection and reg stickers when I saw it and now it's got a Florida title.

I don't know... Folks here have been pretty critical of it, but I got to say that it really didn't look bad in person... and it was being driven around to cruise nights and shows around here, so it ran. The rust bubbles are troubling, but the rest of the paint looked pretty good. At the time, the car was priced way too high at $18k, so I didn't spend any time on it. Now I wish I had taken the time to look it over better.

I am pretty much with Carsten on this one, as usually the front fender lips are not one of the first places for rust to show up - it is usually in the rear quarters long before it shows up in the front fenders down low, so seeing it in the front fender lip area is really scary. It is just the sure sign of a rust bucket IMO.

Can somebody tell me what is wrong with this car! I thought it was sold at a no reserve ebay auction and now it shows up again. It looks ok. What am I missing? The rust? It has been in NY now in Florida.
It was parked a couple cars down from us in Liverpool in 2016. Any chance that you took a better look at the car?

From what I see, the previous "Sold at No Reserve" auction was by the SAME seller who has it listed now and at the SAME price ($12,900) as what its current minimum bid is now listed (again $12,900).

So, it didn't REALLY sell to anyone during the previous Ebay auction. I believe that is what "Big John" was implying in his post.

Yea, it looks like it sold on the auction, but as we all know, it's never really sold until someone pays the $$. It could be any number of reasons why it didn't sell. Deadbeat bidder etc. There's a lot of that.

The Winter Haven, FL location shows the car as having less than 200 miles more than the Phoenix, NY location, so it was trucked down. What that means? I dunno.
