looks nice!
1973 Chrysler New Yorker

Looks like the front was whacked at some point. Hood nice and straight on driver side, not so much on the other side.

I would crawl naked over a mile of crushed glass past a sea of corvettes and camaros and cudas to touch this car..
.after 6 miller high lifes!!!!!!

This is the Cindy Crawford of New Yorkers...if this was red I think I'd propose and get on one knee without a pre-nup. I'm still breathing with a paperbag.

That's a nice looking car , he says the interior is in great shape but couldn't manage to open the door to take a pic? And doesn't bother to mention the mileage, that does affect the price. But at least he didn't take pics of it in a dark garage. I hope this goes to a real car guy, ok rant over :)

Doesn't seem like a very motivated seller, with no photos of the driver side or rear end shots either, and none of the interior, underhood or trunk. And how many miles on it? Any hidden rust? I wonder why some sellers even bother....................

The added bump strip looks wierd too.

Good luck - you will need it.

I just sent request for more pics...But, I better go to bed before I do something rash.:lol:Imperials are my first love...But, this one would be taken well care of in my stable. I'd get that front end fixed.

I just spoke to the seller(Jeff)on the phone. I'm not in the market for this one, but feel it's my duty as a member here to investigate for the good of this community, as well as to satisfy my own curiosity.
He sounds like a nice guy & easy to talk to about the car.
He's going to send me the additional photos I requested as soon as he gets a chance; interior, engine compartment, rear end, driver side and trunk.

He's had the car for four years, but only drives it occasionally in warm weather for about an hour each year. Can no longer justify the space it takes up in his garage. Says it starts easily enough after sitting during the winters, and runs and drives with no issues. Has been sitting since last fall without a start.
It seems the previous owner changed the stock shifter (vacuum operated system) to a Hurst power shifter, removing the vacuum lines completely.
He said the underside seems pretty clean, no rust out anywhere, and no real surface rust to speak of either.
Tells me the interior is very nice overall, however does have a couple of splits in the drivers seat upholstery. He's not sure about why the bumper hangs down on that one side.. but doesn't seem to be a major issue... frame is straight etc.

He says the A/C was ice cold two seasons ago, but last year it went back and forth from warm to cold and thinks it needs a FREON boost.

He's not sure of the miles off hand(recalls 102k) but he's gonna check that too.

I'll post the new pics when I get them either tomorrow or tuesday, as will Doc I trust.

IDK exactly what that means either... He mentioned something about the new power shifter set up as more of a manual shifter(3speeds?) as opposed to factory automatic run on vacuum. I really don't know enough to elaborate.. I thought someone here would understand all that!

Our shifters are all mechanical linkage... no clue on what he's talking about... lol
GM used vacuum, I found that out swapping engines and wondering why I didn't have third gear, didn't have the hard line pushed in all the way! That's my guess as to what he's thinking since he didn't replace it.
