Who the hell would want a white dash or rug, anyway ?:realcrazy:

Some of the Salons had that grey interior. That is about as close to white as Chrysler got with interiors in Formals. Also the Salons had a grey leather wrapped steering wheel too.

Even E bodies had black dashes with white interiors , no white carpets either I believe the standard was black unless ordered otherwise.
I'm surprised this is actually being brought up

This thread is entertaining to read...even if I am not a "formal guy".

The geekiness is amazing!

We were yesterday at Vesivehmaa airport watching street drag event and we couldn`t believe our eyes when we saw this particular NYB in the parking lot. Closer look showed that it was The Pettit`s car.

The owner of the car happened to come there and he told us that he had searched for a formal New Yorker quite a long time and he came across a photo of this car in Facebook and he just had to get it.

NYB was in really good condition and all the doors closed as new! Roof rail seals were almost perfect and they still had the feel of rubber! Not so usual on formals...
As some of you speculated, it had been repainted and that`s why the stripes were missing.

We didn`t manage to get any photos besides the engine bay...:BangHead:
