FASTENAL SHIPPING

("Fastenal" as in the nut/bolt/fastener company?)

3PL (Third Party Logistics) | Fastenal

I use them all the time and yes they do Canada also. Only issue I have had with them they do not ship into Cali and I think Arizona
Not sure about this because we do have a Fastenal depot right near me here in Peoria Arizona. I've never used them but I did get a quote one time to ship an engine from here to Michigan.

You have to fill out the online form and then wait for them to send you a quote. Be careful how much you say it's worth, don't inflate value. I shipped a 4'x4' pallet from TX to PA for $175.

Thanks for the information! Wasn't aware they were something of a "LTL" (less than load) or "consolidator of sorts" transporter. Interesting!

That’s pretty cheep guys. My CAT store does 3rd party shipping but if you don’t work there they punish you. I think it’s $2 per pound times two (they add in the weight of the pallet too), That’s truck frt don’t even ask about air...

Was on the phone with them yesterday asking why something was so much, you pay for the volume mostly. Shipping a sun distributor tester again so it is bulky about the size of a upper and lower toolbox, maybe 100 lbs, is 175 from CA to PA

They don't offer this - shipping for outside parties at all locations. Have inquired here in Las Cruces NM and they don't offer it. Guess they don't want to be bothered with it. Roswell, NM, ironically does.

Ross, I had a great experience with them this past August receiving an Imperial dash. They helped loading it. The only slight negative was they wanted me to come get it as soon as it arrived...this location didn't have a lot of storage space to let it sit for a couple days.

Possibly their "service" relates to their existing store network locations? As long as they ship within their existing "distribution network" rather than "anywhere", they get around various state registrations and such?
