Hi there, should my 1967 Dodge Monaco 383 Wagon have horizontal exterior window rubber seals on the doors please?
If so, anyone know what profile/dimensions they should be, I am not bothered about OEM originals, anything that would fit would be great?
Many thanks

It looks like you have what the factory installed. That little chrome/stainless strip has some fuzzy 'whiskers' along the inside edge against the glass. They're sold and marketed as cat whiskers. No rubber gaskets/seals on that vintage.

Yes they are in reproduction.
They are called cat whiskers and can be ordered online.
I think vances or dante stocks them.
Same as four door sedan or hardtop
I installed mine before installing the glass. Can't imagine how difficult it would be with glass still in.

Thanks very much! I really wasn’t sure what the set-up was, and was confused. Although the cats whiskers look smart they don’t look very effective at preventing water ingress, especially here where it rains!

Thanks for that, no wonder I’ve not been able to find them as I’ve been searching for the wrong thing being ignorant of this type of fitment!

They weren't designed to keep water out, they are meant to keep larger debris and pebbles out. Water drains down the window and out the bottom of the door. That's why you need to have the plastic installed on the inside of the door between the interior door panel. Otherwise the panel will absorb moisture and warp. And why you need good cat whiskers. If they're shot and the car is outside, leaves and and dust will collect inside the door, blocking the door drains and the bottom of the door will rust.

All of the above is correct.

Nice car - Scotland in Great Britain or Scotland Ontario? Some other Scotland? More info on your car please!

Thanks very much for that, much appreciated. Never seen this before, it’s such an unfamiliar arrangement to me - normally you’d want to keep the water out completely!

Thanks! Scottish Borders, Scotland, UK. I wish I knew more about the car, I know very little other than it sat for about 4 years in a side street near the NAPA Auto Parts store in Billings, MT. Then was in Texas for a while but seems to have had little or no use whilst there before I bought it. There is an old video I found on YouTube of a ‘sgr_superbee’ doing a video walk round of the car nearly 5 years ago & I think there is a post somewhere on this forum of it for sale for just $1600 a few years back when the badges read MONICA! She looked pretty neglected back then too.
