What Do You Do On A Rainy Day In Phoenix?

Dang it. Rain go away!

NHRA is suppose to be racing in Phoenix this weekend.

FS1 does a terrible job.
I hope the NHRA got a good check because the coverage is doing enthusiasm no favors.
ESPN kicked *** in cool shots and coverage.
I will take a episode of no prep Kings any day over the Camaro fest pro stock. Which if FS1 knew what the hell they are doing would ditch prostock and broadcast the Factory stock competition. Stock bodies, a correct style engine in accordance with what the manufacturer produces, skinny tires, running 8 second 1/4 mi passes.

My DVR doesn't catch the races when they are on, it'll get Saturday Nitro but not the finals. I haven't even tried to find them, it's that exciting. How's the new broadcast crew?

Better check the back of your new rig
Good idea John. Wouldn't want to find this on it.

Good SUV choice. If I'd known you were looking I would have offered you a discount. That's one of just a few vehicles actually built within Detroit city limits. The pentastar is a great engine. I just checked the oil after doing the first change about 1k ago on our T&C. Hasn't burned a drop at 132k miles.

I don't know who is more sad to hear about all the cold and rain out there... the people who are actually there, or me who just wishes...

I think I have mine with key word NHRA and it picks up quite a bit.
I did not notice the broadcasters.

Same as last year pretty much. Tony Pedregon and some other guy. Format didn't change except some goofy power ratings for drivers.

Finals on today (Sunday) at 6pm EST on FS1.

Channel 219 on DirecTV.

Tony has good insight of course being a driver. Fuel cars are a enigma, and hit and miss. You may watch 5 match-ups before you finally get a side by side, watching blowout wins is not that exciting. Pro stock was boring and has become like the NASCAR of NHRA they all race the same car so your supposed to have a favorite driver.

Has he stopped tripping over his own words? That was my only complaint about him, I know I'd be terrible. I liked Dave Reif, he was always a nice guy to chat with when he was going through the pits. I still like going to the races, it's always better when you can feel the action.

Replace Pro Stock with Pro Mod

So what happens when it snows in AZ??
View attachment 263578

Stolen off FB today in Tuscon...
Well Graham Arizona actually gets a lot of snow every year in the northern part of the state and the higher elevations. Now in Tucson and Phoenix not so much. Flagstaff is 7000 ft and the ski area in the San Francisco peaks reach over 12000 ft. This year Snowbowl (The Ski area) has already received 23 feet of snow. 5 1/2 feet Thursday and Friday alone.

Yesterday Terri and I took a trip up to Prescott to do a shake down and test out the AWD on it. Passed with flying colors. It's going to be a great car to travel in.
