George had a stroke that left him in bad shape and he told me he was 60 years old last year. As stated above by Jer, he lived in a remote part of Australia, and was found on the floor of his house after two days without help, which is also a bad situation with strokes - timeliness is crucial to addressing such victims. As a result, he is paralyzed on one side of his body. He can stand up but can not walk. In addition, I hear that his memory is also very bad. He is supposed to be in a hospital for some 6 months to see if he will be able to recover any of his capabilities that were lost. It really doesn't sound good. So emailing him will do no good nor will trying to call him. There is no way of contacting him is the bottom line. There has been one update that shared this information on Facebook, but I am not on that site, and do not know the source of the information.
He is a formal wagon lover at heart, and I have been storing a couple of his wagons at my place until he could arrange to ship them to Australia. Now I have no idea of what to do with them. I also had a large parts order out with him, but it is an open question whether I will ever see any of them.
Sad situation.
