We have a great, relatively new, outdoor amphitheater. I try to go to as many concerts in the summer and fall as I can. The B-52 will be coming in September so I will be hearing "Loveshack" live for the first time.

I personally think they should have a special designated area to encourage anyone to drive their Chrysler that seat about 20.

I’d come down for that if it was a double bill with the Violent Femmes!

Not that line up but we get, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, and Berlin. I actually saw Berlin at a senior night at Kings Island amusement park in 1984.

I was kind of embarrassed for her. She was playing at a very small stage that had bench seats for about 100 and there were about 20 of us listening to her.

Sounds like fun, let us know if Goldie gets into the show...

I plan on driving Goldie to the show. It would be nice if they would have a special section but I won't hold my breath. I am going to drive up to the venue beforehand with Goldie and plead my case. Worth a shot

I drove my Challenger convertible to a Tom Petty concert a few years back at Pine Knob, I was fearless back then.
All the parking attendants sent me straight to executive style parking. This is exactly why I prefer driver quality cars, because they can be enjoyed the way they were meant to be.
Rexus, I love your beautiful car and wouldn’t drive it to a concert venue either and I’d be bummed out about it a little...

LOL! Don't be bummed because I'm not.

In my experience, most of those lots are cramped (tight spaces). Concert goers have been know to exit "medicated" in one form or another which limits their caution. I get nervous parking my daily driver in some lots and have no interest in exposing a classic car to potential damage, be it a driver quality car or a restored example. There are plenty other opportunities to get noticed in a cool car. Besides, the executive parking is great for getting into the venue quickly as it is usually closest to the entrance but those cars are usually the last to get out of the lot which makes for a long exit thus increasing the potential for a fender-bender.

I don't think I would drive to any other venue but this one with Goldie. The parking spaces are nice and wide and there's one section that has a ditch that I can hang her *** over.

Plus I think it's the right crowd, it's a bunch of old farts like me, going to see old 80's bands.

I don't take my car to car shows for the fear of the dreaded mustang crashers
