As I said, rain was in my future, and it rained pretty good a couple times. I put Rain-X on when I left Rockford, again north of Madison, and then again just inside Minnesota. The windshield sucked it up like none I've seen before, and then I found out hail will take off the Rain-X. But it worked, and I still love the product. A clean surface is important. 
Then it was a nice drive with the window down, the clouds parted and I got to see the moon for the last two hours of my drive. I didn't turn on the radio until l about 40 minutes from home, I just listened to the car, and all its noises, good and bad.
I had issues with the lighting in the front of my car over the weekend. When I got there, my front marker lights had burned out, and the right front signal. Replaced the right side bulb, and still didn't have marker lights, but had signals. Good enough for me. Then after the CATL Drive, I lost a headlight, again on the passenger side. Wyatt had spares, and I swapped out that, and the high beam that was previously burnt out. My stupid self didn't know how the bezels came off! I didn't look very hard and totally missed the screws that Wyatt pointed out. Der! Adjusted them so I could see (don't you love headlights that point at the ground in front of you?) and they work so much better now.
Car burned some oil, but didn't have any other issues than what I previously stated. It wasn't perfect by any means, but performed everything asked of it.
Wyatt and I even got key chains for our Monaco's!
Short list of what I did to prepare the car:
New tires.
New tie rods.
New idler arm.
Swapped carbs, new and clean to old and dirty.
Installed alternator and correct pulleys.
New fuel filter.
Replaced leaky new lock ring for the sending unit, with an old, bent, dirty one that seals.
New Chinese radiator I had laying around. (Works perfectly)
New bulbs where needed.
And that's about it. I hopped in the car and away I went. Another faith building adventure to Illinois, not bad for a test drive, eh?
I put on a little over 1200 miles, even the seats were okay for that many miles. I will get the exhaust figured out and fixed, do some simple maintenance things that popped up after that many miles, and then I'll drive the wheels off this car. It's fun to drive, fairly comfortable, has a good sound to it, and I just like driving it.
It made it through a torrential downpour with no wipers, braved Urban traffic without even a hickup, and got back home, incident free.

@tunaboat75, and any other Minnesota members, this was a fun time, getting to drive the cars and go experiencing some other areas of the region. I encourage you to go on a CATL Drive if you can. I drove on every kind of road, interstate, highway, county roads, and city streets, they were all fun.
I almost forgot, we met up with
@Jammer at Georgie Porgie's, so we had another member that got to share in the fun. This was a great shakedown run to find out what I need to fix to be ready for the show in Sunday, only a little over an hour north of me.
The smile from this weekend has almost gone away.

Seriously, you members need to make this event next year, it was awesome, relaxing, and I can't wait to do it again. We took 50+ year old cars, and drove them in every environment and they all performed flawlessly, and made it back the way they left. And rain, it won't melt anything, so come on out next year, and make this an even bigger event!
