If I remember right, the turn signals on the 71 were fender mounted only and there was no light(s) in the dash panel like most other cars? I'm hoping I can find out if I am correct or do I have some bulbs to replace (dash). The fender signals work fine, still trying to figure out why the hazards don't work.

Thx

Mopars with the optional fender mount turn signals usually do not have the dash mounted bulbs for indicators installed. Most still had the circuitry for dash units, just no sockets with bulbs installed. I added them to my '70 Fury with fender mounts and they both worked fine. If you have one of those lights for close quarters work with the light probe, you can stick the probe up behind the dash and see if that lights a green arrow on the instrument cluster. (The light will flow thru the vacant spot on the circuit board) If you see a green arrow this way, odds are you could install bulb sockets and have the dash indicators work. Not sure if your Imperial had the same circuitry as the rest of the Chrysler line, but I suspect that they did.

All Imperials produced during the model years 1969-73 were built with only fender-mounted turn signal indicators. No options nor dash-mounted indicators were available or installed at all.

I'd say that if the fender mounted turn signal indicators were optinal (as with most Mopars) then the green arrow lights in the dash would also be equipped with bulbs and light up together with the fender mounted trn signal indicators.
