I'm really not into Oldsmobiles, but saw this a few days ago. Ripping down an old farm to put in another subdivision (yeah, just what we need). 67 Olds Starfire, rare car, last year it was made - top of the line sport model - think 300. Must have been in an old barn they took down, and not really in bad shape at all, once you get past the animal droppings. Loaded . . . buckets, console tach, power window/seat, cornering lights. Stopped in the evening as I drove by . . . went back next day to talk to the foreman to see if I could strip some parts . . . had already been hauled off to the crusher. All I was able to get was a small vacuum trunk switch inside the glove box. What a shame . . . rare, and very restorable . . .

Sorry, don't think pics are uploading correctly. I'll try and add them later.

It's happening more and more. Whomever cared about the car passed and whoever is left to deal with the belongings usually wants to get it over with immediately. Scrap the junk cars. Donate the old clothes. Keep sentimental stuff.

It's sad really.

Really sad... I know when I kick, the cars and tools will have to go into the care of a few friends to get dispersed to folks who want them and will pay a little back to family for them.

If someone here gets a call, its deal of a lifetime day, but help them out too.
