I’m warming to the idea of being weird and building my poly.
To stroke or not to stroke?
How much over?
FiTech or carb?
Any ideas?
Thanks

Sounds expensive.

Looks like you only need your poly heads (and probably some spares) for that build! They pretty much threw everything else away in favor of parts from other engines, or total custom stuff.

FiTech

Thanks

I was considering FiTech, but there's a lot of negative comments about the unit and videos on youtube, the ecu for the set up is in the throttle body and heat and vibration seem to upset them

I would be inclined to go in this direction. . .

The only thing special you need to stroke a Poly out to big block size are the pistons because of where the valve reliefs are. The crank and rods are LA peices available almost at Walmart so other than the up charge for pistons, no more expensive to build than an LA stroker.

Stroke up to 4.25 is readily available and the blocks can usually take a .100" overbore but I would sonic check to be sure in case of core shift.
