I would love to have a convertible and I have seen this one online for a while now. Just wondering what some of you think of it. A big block car with a manual transmission. I can't tell if the car came with a manual, or it was added later. No fender tag pics. More pics at the link. 1968 PLYMOUTH Fury Sport Tyngsboro Motors | Auto dealership in tyngsboro

Is that a knob missing on the dash below the tuning dial of the radio?

Rear speaker fader is missing. At least the bezel is still there.
Yes interesting car.

No mention, nor pictures of top or boot. Looking at rest of car suspect needing a new top, door panels detailing etc. Heck they even say its a four door. To me 13k max and be prepared to spend another 5k into it and that is if the paint is in presentable condition.

Also looks to have a sizeable oil leak judging by the amount of oil on the underside. Engine compartment needs to be detailed, painted portions of the dash are weathered, carpets are rust stained, door panels are ratty. No photos of car with the top up, may not be functional. Looks to also have some minor rust perforation on passenger front fender. Has what appears to be CB mike mount holes on lower dash, probably a antenna hole someplace on the rear quarter. To me this car is at least $5k overpriced maybe more depending on the condition of the top and mechanism. This one has also been for sale for at least a year with no takers.

Is the color what QQ1 (electric metallic blue) is supposed to look like? I think that is the shade my car should be, but you can see in my avatar that mine is darker.

You noticed a lot more than I did looking at it. I think a convertible would be a lot of fun but as noted, they never show the top up.

That looks like frost blue metallic to me, that is a different color. see www.automotivetouchup.com/touch-up-paint/ They have the paint chips on their site, note that paint chips are a different number than the paint code. QQ1 is electric blue metallic.

This car has been here, on Craigslist, and Ebay a few times in the past. From what I hear the car is as not described in the pictures, it's actually worse and a bit overpriced too. But I guess worth a look. Doesn't hurt.

Does not look to be QQ1. It looks lighter in color. Honestly, kinda looks like Corporate Blue. Might be wrong. Have a look at the chartView attachment 339644
By that chart, my car is the correct color although I can’t imagine it has its original paint.

I’ll steer clear of this one. There is a red one listed at several sites for $16k. It has, however, a 400, which I believe is a 1970s engine.

400 went into production in '71.

I think it's a typo.... barely worth $7500. Door panels are rotting off of it, screws just ran into the passenger side for no reason. Pull handles missing. Wrong shifter handle, carpeting is a mess, dash looks like a cb mike was screwed to it. I'm guessing the top was rarely up judging by how faded the dash is. Speaking of tops, the way that crappy boot is hanging it almost looks their isn't even a top on it.
Oh and they never even detailed the engine.

My guess it's a consignment car and they both have seen way to many BJ Auctions.
As Will said, RUN. Their are plenty of fish in the ocean.

For $17k? I don't think soooooo....

I'd agre e with the other posts, be skeptical but take a look. Lake of the side stripe suggests a repaint, maybe not a very good one. Engine looks to be correct, at least has the HP manifolds, I'd say it's an original 4 speed car but that reverse indicator is out of place, I don't think those started showing up until 69-70.

Yea we went over the reverse light it the many other posts about this car and I have some pics from 67 & 68 that leads me to believe it is correct. Sum'in 'bout inland shifter vs. hurst or reverse lock out IIRC.

This car was up again on eekBay, last I checked it was at 7 grand area with reserve not met.
Let me see if I booked marked it for sheets & giggles.

(edit) It's got 4 more days to go and is at US $5,700.00 with [10 bids] and Reserve not met right now.
This maybe another re-list as the 7 grand was like 10 days ago with quite a few days left in the auction and I forgot to go back to it.
