I have the original dealership paperwork for the following 5 Dodge polara convertible's.
DL27G63117809 4-speed car
DL27G63169615 4-speed car
DM27H74208648 4-speed car
DL27H9D218863
DL27G0D220982
All these cars came from a little dealership in Corydon Indiana.

I'd like to see the paperwork on the 4-speed convertible...thats one of 17 and it doesn't break down the body styles. So 17 hardtops, convertibles, and four doors.

Letting us know about this discovery is a very nice way to start the New Year

So what do we gotta do to see the last one?

I'll bite, too!

From the registry, that 1970 'vert was scheduled for building on March 26, 1970 or, more likely, on March 27. G-code, so it came off the line with a 318.

Can't wait to see the paperwork and to hear more about the story behind those cars. Thanks a lot in advance, @kyle340

I don't know the story on any of the cars, there was a Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge dealership in Corydon Indiana that I have all the paperwork on from 64-80. I became friends with the owner after the dealership closed and was able to buy all the paperwork before it was thrown away. I had tried to get the paperwork for years to no avail, one day I stopped by and offered to buy everything. I listed all the c-body Dodge convertible's thinking maybe one or two survived, I know you guys are a tight community, and I knew the 4-speed cars are very rare. The 70 was actually a customer ordered car buy a lady, she only had it for 2 years, I can post pics of the invoices to any of the cars if you guys want to see them.

Thanks a lot! So this green (FF4) car was (is?) very basic, with a tinted windshield (G15, cheaper than the G11 option for all windows), AM radio (R11), and deluxe wheel covers (W11) as the only frills. Still, this car was ordered by this seemingly reasonable buyer with door edge protectors, SureGrip and undercoating -- the latter two being excellent ideas for cold winter days in the Hoosier State.

Since no good deed goes unpunished, I'll make two more requests: first, the pic quality is limited on FCBO pages but AFAIK not on PM -- it'd be great if you could PM me the pics. Second, is the dealership owner still around -- and if so does he remember the lady who ordered the car and what she did with it? Maybe she traded it in and he resold it, and he knows who bought it next, and, and...

:thankyou:

I can pm you the pics, he is still around, I don't talk to him as much as I used to since the dealership closed, it's about 40 miles from my house. I have looked up the name of the second owner and nothing comes up on a Google search, I have did this on other cars and have had luck talking to owners, none yet that still own the cars .

Looks like the residents of Indiana liked their 4 speeds. AMC 4 speed big cars are very rare and I am aware of several that came from Indiana as well. Is that a new one for you @polara71?

Thanks for that! Both 66s were 383 cars then. I'm not sure if H for 67 was 383 or 440, and I don't know about H or G for 69 or 70.

A note to the picture people - one can PM pictures ONLY if you're a gold member. As well, AFAIK, upload quality is not limited for pics in regular posts, as I often put pics up that are 6 or 7 mb from my desktop. I think it's your server that may limit that... @Joeychgo can chime in here with the true details on that.
