Lets have some fun. Everybody likes fin cars. If you own one or just have a favorite, post them up!
Some pics I took in Branson MO in 2008Some Forward Look pics I've taken at car shows and currently using as part of my computer desktop slideshow. It never occurred to me until now that so many of them are DeSotos, but they do have great fins, taillights and 2-tone paint!

We saw your Imperial about 3 years ago at a one-time car show at the Jefferson, WI Dodge dealer - beautiful car!

Not mine.. BUT Always been a Fav and a dream to own.
Thread says “Fin car Friday”. So I thought I’d shake it up a bit..Hey, that's not a Mopar! Personally I'd rather have a '59 Buick or '59 Caddy.... unless it was the super-rare '57 Chevy El Morocco.

The car show that I took that picture at changed venue almost 10 years ago, and I don't think I've seen that DeSoto since. If I do, I'll try to keep you in mind.If you see that '56 DeSoto pace car again, could you make an effort to get the VIN and firewall (near master cylinder) data plate info for me? I not only track all '56 DeSotos, but I'm on a personal mission to determine exactly how many pace cars were built, which I can do by getting late-built pace car and regular Fireflite convertible data to continue narrowing down the range. In '56, they had lumped all regular and pace car Fireflite convertibles into the one production figure of 1,485 total, but no breakdown.
Thanks! The car show that I took that picture at changed venue almost 10 years ago, and I don't think I've seen that DeSoto since. If I do, I'll try to keep you in mind.
My understanding is the show was dropped. If they have it again please let me know.We saw your Imperial about 3 years ago at a one-time car show at the Jefferson, WI Dodge dealer - beautiful car!
