Thanks again Gents. I do have one picture somewhere (I have not seen it in years) of me, my brother and a neighborhood friend siting on our bikes in the driveway directly in front of the car. I will have to find that picture. That to my knowledge it is the only picture I have of it

Would definitely love to see it if you have it! :)

Thanks for posting up the photo of the burnt orange GT with the black top and burnt orange interior. That is exactly the car (except ours had the factory sport wheels (not sure what they are called) the ones that have the trim rings and center caps.

Rallye road wheels, I believe they are code W-21.

I remember the year you brought that, parked it on the end and STOLE THE SHOW!

I personally never seen it before, just pictures like this one. I can imagine it stole the show, from the picture it looks absolutley beautiful along with that white survivor GT next to it too! Burnt orange is one of my favorite colors. :)

I think he brought it with the paint still wet. Gorgeous!

Wheres the drool and I hate Billy icons?

1 of the 66.

Yep. It's was my Dads he bought it brand new. The car had some Chrysler quality control issues lol. He traded it in for a 71 Scamp. The car did survive till the late 70s. It was in the Chicagoland area.

I heard years back that there were 77 6bbl cars made out of 666 total. Either way still a rare Mopar.

I love hearing these types of stories, especially about cars like your dads. Just noticed the picture was taken in June of 1971. That's even cooler, thanks for sharing it:thumbsup:. Traded it in on a Scamp?! :wtf: :(, boo. Scamps are cool too I suppose.

The 67 GTX he traded in for the GT and me rockin the 70s look with the Scamp in the background.

All it takes to restore any Fury GT is a chassis with a correct VIN #.You just build the car from there.I wonder how many empty, decaying Fury GT shells are still out there.I think they are worth saving. The Mercury Marauder was another large boat GT,But there,s more Marauders than Fury GT,s.That is something somebody should do.Find the remaining body shells or chassis,s.B.B
