Bennys Forward Look yard crawl looking to sell parts and cars

I am very impressed! I have never seen so many 57/58 Dodges in one place before and at 45 seconds there is even a 58 Dodge Regal Lancer with even the same color combination as mine. I still need some parts for mine, so I will be calling him.

How old is Benny now? He has to be up there.

Thanks!

Benny’s place has been there / around for a longtime.
Is he getting out of the business & selling everything off ?

I met Benny at Carlisle several years ago, he and his son. Nice people. He gave me his card which I promply misplaced.

Here is a link of a thread I posted about Benny's back in 2013:

The Trip to Bountiful. . . Benny's

lots of fin parts :)

Mike: Were you in a big hurry when you took this video? Your erratic camera handling technique makes everyone dizzy and nauseous. Next time, please SLOW DOWN - a lot - with the movement of your camera. Also, you were moving so fast that no one can really get a good look at any car they may be interested in. I discovered this problem some time ago when looking later at videos I took myself.

No. Business as usual. I talked to him this morning. Nice guy.

I talked with him this morning as well and I affirm Will's assessment of him - really nice guy and he recalled me calling him about 10 years ago for another purpose than this one (he recalled my name!).

At 74 years young, he is an inspiration as he is currently restoring a 58 Dodge Regal Lancer like mine and also recently finished a complete restoration of a 1957 300C like the one I did nearly 50 years ago now.
We share the same interests in particular Forward Look cars with the same favorites. I am 73 now and he is an inspriation to me and we agree that restoring these beasts keeps one young as long as one can physically/mentally keep doing it. Very helpful guy!

Benny was just at my friend's place in Philly last Thursday and picked up a '63 Polara 361 2BBL convertible and a Polara 4 door parts car.

Benny is 74 now and still has plenty of gumption left in him - great guy to work with too. I bought all the stuff I needed to finish my 1958 Dodge Regal Lancer now since my car was not totally complete when I bought it. Benny told me about some aspects of the Regal Lancer that I did not know and I was grateful that he was so well-versed in all the details of that model. There is no one left that has his knowledge as far as I know or the parts I needed.

Mopar Mel was able to help as well with some reproduction items such as the plastic covers for the hardboard headliner supports and had the pieces I needed for my rear side trim panels to be reproduced. Despite closing down his salvage yard a few years ago now, he still has parts available too. Mopar Mel also had the reproduction perforated hardboard headliners for sale too but they are pricey.

Benny came through for me with a convertible top bow for my 61 Fury. My original was badly damaged by a tree limb, and then turned up missing when I moved the disassembled car to the shop it's in now.

I met Benny once at Carlisle, real nice guy. I sold the interior of my gold '73 NYB to Rob, a member here with a '60 Newport. Rob couldn't make it to the show so he sent his friend Benny to meet me and pick the interior up. I didn't know him really, he just showed up at Gate 1 on Friday night with a trailer loaded up with what I think was a Dodge Royal Lancer. I thought, where the heck is he going to fit this Chrysler interior? No worries he says it will fit and he proceeded to unload some trim and other odds and ends from the Dodge, laying it on the grass, pointing out that he bought the car just for the rare trim. We struggled to get it all in, but in the end it was secure and dry just as it started to pour again so we said our good byes and I was happy for another successful Carlisle transaction. Fast forward to the next evening after a long day at the show, and I get a call on my cell from Benny. He's distraught and wanted to know if I remember the trim he laid on the grass the night before. Apparently he drove off without it! I went back but it was long gone. That trim was worth far more than the NYB interior, but I believe he delivered it to Rob without a hitch.
