Can someone give me a tip on how to remove this trim piece on a 68 Fury. I'm using my little kid gloves to try to get it off to not damage it but I just can't seem to figure that one out.
Thanks.

One screw on each end (in the door opening) then spring clips that need to come straight up by prying gently.

I got the screws out but when I pry it feels like I'm bending the trim too. I have the little pinching tool for trim should that be used, or is it just a little more pressure?

Have you ever had the door inner cardboards off? Those spring clips are essentially the same as the one on the lower windshield trim except the windshield trim clips are a bit larger. .
Pretty much like this one.

Nope, I didn't get that far yet. Do you need to squeeze the clip to release it, or will enough pressure do it?

Thanks guys, I have a handful of trim tools I just didn't want to pry to hard. I will give it a little more pressure and hope it pops off.

That windshield base trim is very sturdy, so it's not going to bend on you.

It's the rest of the pieces around the front and back glass that you have to be real careful with.

I'm guessing that you are removing the cowl cover. Once you have the screws out, it's not unusual for it to be glued to the cowl with excess window sealant. A putty knife should get it freed up.

Finally had some time gave it a little extra pressure and got them off! Thanks Guys! Maybe someday I will be able to put the car back together...
