I looked at that car seriously last June. Nice car for the price, straight-shooting seller.

Amazing how those interiors held up!
Yes, I have yet to see a bad Navajo interior. The fabric and seams all seem indestructible. And, the car looks cool.

If the kickdown linkage is missing or nit adjusted it may be fixable....but that depends on how long the car has been driven like that...a rebuild or replacement may be possible worst case scenario.

I wondered if this might be that car. Much better pics from then.

One tell-tale sign is the artifact hanging from the mirror. Here are some more pics that I got last year -- great interior, roof needs work and and top/paint (I am not posting the fender tag as it has not been publicly released; the car is numbers-matching and the owner has full documentation).

PS: The better pics I posted were direct from the seller. He also held a video call with me, which was super-helpful for making a decision. I liked the car but it was more work than I wanted; for the price, I thought that it should be worth it to someone -- which is why I posted the ad and the better photos.

so, misfit's care for their cars more? Shoot, I misread ayilar's statements and shot off at the finger mouth faster than my brain.

Defenitely looks wonky in the pics that ayilar posted. Probably been that way since the carb swap. Thats how I burnt up my first one 30 years ago. But when they are that old you never know anyway.

Looks like the car that was advertised in western Colorado last year.
Western Colorado? When I first became aware of it in May 2020, it was being advertised in SW Missouri. The seller was a mechanic who had "bought it for a buddy and got it running good" but the buddy backed out so he was trying to recoup some of his money. As I said, the seller was a thoroughly straight shooter and earned my respect with his honesty: I told him that, should he have another fusie come up, to give me a call because I would trust him.

There was one that popped up in Delta, Colorado about this time last year and was put in the Forums here. I almost bought the car. Almost. I wanted to be able to drive to the Western Slope to lay eyeballs on it before deciding, but weather and such precluded that effort. This sure looks like that car, but with the distance between CO and MO, it probably wasn't.

It appears that the asking price on this car is in the correct place. That rust on the rear pillar sure does kill the sale doesn't it. Since there is that kind of rust on the C pillar I would assume that the rear panel under the window is going to be toast as well.
Looks like Missouri rust in any case.
