I thought about taking a dremel to it but considering some places won't take an electrical item back, I figure if the part doesn't work AND it's been modified, they for sure won't take the part back. But, I may have to bite the bullet
I had 2 of those switches and the problem i had with each one is the tabs on the lever didn't fit into the 2 slots on the back of the switch like the original switch, which caused the the whole mechanism to not work properly.
Anyone have a turn signal switch for a 1966 Chrysler Newport......or know where to find one, preferably NOS but will consider aftermarket as well. My car does not have tilt steering. From.what ive seen, the part number should be 2822170. Thanks.

No, that's the kicker. It has NEVER overheated. I was thinking it was overfilled too but, silly me, I thought to myself a mechanic wouldn't overfill the radiator........LOL. I'll have to go look and see how much coolant is in it now...........
I've had the thermostat and housing replaced, both hoses and new antifreeze put in within the past year. The issue i'm having is, even on short drives, i'll get home and coolant will be coming out of the overflow hose.
