    Upgrading 1964 Imperial wiper blades

Hey I forgot to update this post, but I did find Trico 47800 refills on rockauto. They are the cut to fit type. They are the 8mm ones! That's very important! Here the brand I used was 6mm and claimed to be "silicone" (they dried up in a month and they discontinued them) it's no wonder I had...

64 Imperial auto pilot weight creating larger holes in fender!!!

Hey everyone sorry for the late response. Yes I have all 3 brackets and I did drill where the dimples were. I used bolts with washers and lock  washers on them to hold it. The guy I bought it off of originally gave me instructions for it. Based on what everyone is saying I'm assuming if there...

64 Imperial auto pilot weight creating larger holes in fender!!!

Hey everyone, my car didn't come with auto pilot, so I purchased all the parts I needed and installed it. Everything went together and it all worked and seemed fine. Well I realized that the auto pilot seemed loose when I bumped it the other day and realized that the bolt hole were now larger...

    Rear parking brake problem

Hey I wanted to update everyone. The Dorman works perfect and is the same size as the "original" Raybestos. If you need a new brake cable I would order the Dorman C922270.

    Rear parking brake problem

The new ones from Raybestos measure 21.5 for the housing and 29 for the cable! It's definitely no where near specs!

    Rear parking brake problem

I might try the dorman but what worries me is that it says it's housing is shorter. The old housing matches the 23.5 spec and that cable is perfect fit! I'll measure the ones that were newer and see what they measure

    Rear parking brake problem

Yeah that's what it seems like to me! It says the specs are cable length 34.630 and housing length 23.562. The old cable matches these measurements!

Here's what the boxes and plastic looks like

    Rear parking brake problem

I stuck with Raybestos BC92270 and the part numbers were the same on the box. The inside label of the new ones on the plastic is labeled 78-92270. I don't have the old one to verify if it said that also. There's no numbers or anything on the cables themselves.

    Rear parking brake problem

Hey I have a 1964 Imperial and I just re ordered Raybestos BC92270 for the rear parking brake. The original one I installed I must have nicked the cable sheath and spring and it started to stick inside the housing. I thought I better get a new one in case it starts to cause a problem. Well I...

Imperial drum backing plates the same? 63-66?

Hey I was wondering if imperial rear backing plates are the same from 1963 to 1966? I know the drums are different with the different axle styles, but the interchange manual I have lists the shoes as the same. The book just doesn't list anything about backing plates. Thank you in advance!

1964 Imperial, other rims that would fit over disks

So yes and no lol it's been kind of a battle. Front rotors off of a 1995 Dodge ram 1500 fit but they have some play and you'll need to put a bearing spacer on the spindle, like a metal ring, and then the rotor fits. The other issue with these rotors is that you need a hub ring so your Rims sit...
