Does anyone know of a replacement motor that can be adapted to a 69? Mine is dead.I took it apart and attempted to repair. It seems as though it could have been shorting to ground and/or the limit switches are shot.I was wondering if ayone has Frankensteined a late model motor that works? Miata...
The solution (for this pan anyway) is Summit P/N 93110 factory style silicone molded over steel 3/16" thick gasket. After warming up and topping up a retorque and voila no more leaks. Thanks to all the usual suspects for your valuable input.
I have a blue steering column with auto trans. It came in the trunk of my 69 300. I can post a pic of it if youre looking for one. I am not sure what model it came from but it is not the same as what is in my car.
Not leaking before. The shift seal was leaking. After that whole nightmare repair job thats when pan leaked. The latest advice from another site is to use no gasket and 3M Gorilla Snot. Waiting for that to arrive.
Has anyone ever had this issue before? I have replaced tranny pan gasket at least 3 times in the last 2 weeks only to find 2 puddles the next morning. The last replacement I used a Felpro gasket and Blue silicone Hi temp gasket sealer. Still the same result. I am going to drop pan yet again...
