    Weatherstrip removal

I can’t thank you enough! I’m going with the flocked ones from Detroit Muscle first. I’ll post ‘yea’ or ‘nay’ on them after they arrive. ‘Division seals’ - I’d have never guessed that particular name. Thanks again!

    Weatherstrip removal

Mike, thank you very much! I just removed the large molded rubber piece at the bottom and the weatherstripping slid down and out. Easy! Now to find who might sell the stuff. I’m close to finishing my baby - if one is ever truly finished

    Weatherstrip removal

I'll look a bit closer and see if there is indeed a small screw. Sometimes my eyes have trouble seeing the small things! Thanks!

    Weatherstrip removal

Thank you, Ross. Should I just be removing the rubber strip from the chrome piece? I thought I’d need to remove the entire unit from the glass itself?

    Weatherstrip removal

Need some help on proper method on removing the leading edge chrome & rubber strip that’s attached to the rear door glass. It’s the piece that, when front and rear window are fully raised, forms a seal between the windows. I’m unsure what it’s called, but it appears it may just be attached with...

Auto Temp II shop service manual

I'm going to work on getting it scanned in this week and share it with anyone who has expressed an interest. As for today, it is finally over 60 degrees and sunny here and my golf clubs someone got into the trunk of my 75 Imp. Guess it's a round of holes for me!

Auto Temp II shop service manual

Hi all. Not sure if there is any interest out there or perhaps this is old news, but I have an Auto Temp II service manual. It describes in detail the system and how it is designed to work, plus gives diagnostic info to repair various issues. I'm attaching a couple of pics. If there is any...

    1969 Imperial sequential turn signals.

I think Vodka's correct, Xavier. In relation to your hand as seen in the photo, the 'red box' is much bigger than any component that my Imp has. Unless of course you have freakishly small hands? :toothy10: Looks like someone improvised either out of frustration or finances. I think you said you...

    1969 Imperial sequential turn signals.

As I think I'd said earlier, my sequential signals work. I only disconnected the pieces in the trunk, cleaned them with canned air and a toothbrush, and then replaced one or more bulbs in each tail light - bam! - they worked like a charm. I will add that the one large component in the trunk...

69 Imperial fender mounted turn signal removal

Thanks everyone! Vodka, we 69 Imp folks need to keep in close touch, huh? So anyway, my car was built early in the model run, one of the first in fact, being built the first week of September, 1968. And as sometimes happens on the first few cars of a new design, my fender signals had NO crappy...
