Yes. It's called unistrut. It's quite strong. All the edges are rolled for reinforcement.

I have 275/60/15 BFGs on 8 inch wheels on the back and they scrape the inner quarters just a little on the driver side.

I still have the problem. I do have a correct (tilt) steering column that I bought, but there are significant mods required to the turn signal switch wires to install it. I'm kind of at a standstill because I don't know WHY the column is crooked. The car still drives perfectly fine.

I had 32 PSI in the rear tires...I increased it a little. We'll see if it helps.

I noticed the other day that my drivers side rear tire has a really light scratch in it from the fenderwell. (Quarterwell?) Not good. I have 275/60/15 tires there with 8 inch wheels and 4.0 offset.
