To put the drum back on just tighten the nut? Will aslide hammer work? Do you know of any good vintage car (brake) shops in the Los Angeles area? I called one brake shop but I don't think they know what this actually entails.

The rear brakes are easier to work on? Is it possible to remove the whole brake assembly and take it to a brake shop and install it after?

For the fronts do I need to remove the center nut or do they just slide off?

Is there anything I need to do or a trick to removethe drums on 1954 Windsor? They spin but will not pull off or move out at all. I'm thinking it maybe rusted good to the axle. I banged on it with the hammer a bit but to no availability...

I looked today and didn't see the flat spot but I assume it's the motor mounts. I changed all the hoses yesterday and they were just tearing apart. Where is a safe spot to lift the engine up from?

It's a inline six with only one belt going around the generator and fan.

Here is a picture from another angle. Hard to see but. The belt is loose but there isn't enough space under the dampener to remove it.

I am starting to work on a old 1954 Chrysler Windsor that's been sitting around. I'm having problems removing the V-Belt. It's about 1/8" too small between the bolt in the picture and harmonic balancer. How can I get this V-Belt off?

The oil weight my 54 Chrysler Windsor asks for is 30W. Is it ok to use 10w-30?

I am trying to comprehend why a 1954 Chrysler has oil in the air filter??? Wouldn't this prevent air from coming in?
