1968 Fury wagon rear side glass seals

My apologies for my delay in answering this forum. I sold the car back in January and I did in fact replace the seals. But they were not of anything identical as nobody was willing to produce them without buying at least 5000 units. I did get something that was suitable with the assistance of...

    Power or manual steering?

Thank you, forum. I have read every post up to this point and I've come to the conclusion that I will stay with the stock power steering system. I value all of you input. Especially the "cutting off the nuts" analogy!!

    Power or manual steering?

I do see these brackets all over the internet for Big Block Chrysler engines with the Saginaw pump. However they keep noting 69 and newer. Is a 68 different than a 69 block somehow?

    Power or manual steering?

So the saginaw is a better pump in you opinion?

    Power or manual steering?

I currently have a Chrysler power steering pump on this engine. The design of the pump and Reservoir assembly looks like it's vulnerable to leak more than the Saginaw pump. What all is required to convert to the Saginaw pump and is this a good decision if wanting to maintain the power steering?

    Power or manual steering?

Thank you for all of this information. I think you're right once I get the components replaced what's good quality proponents they shouldn't leak for very long time. I will keep all of this in mind and thank you for your input.

    66 Monaco wagon interior resources

Joe, I believe the 4 door carpet will work for the wagon. I will be getting a 4 door for mine next month.

    Power or manual steering?

I am getting roadworthy a 1968 Plymouth Sport Suburban station wagon that has been sitting many years. I am fixing all leaks. When it comes to the steering, should I stay with power steering or convert to manual? I plan to drive maybe twice a month on very short, local drives. I have thought...

Can I use a VIP dash pad?

Thank you for that information. I thought I had seen a couple of places that offer to reproduction dashes for the 1968 year model. So I guess my next step is to find a good replacement for my 68 and maybe somehow barter for this or however I can get a good 68. Thank you once again for all your help.

Can I use a VIP dash pad?

Bill, so let me get this straight. You are saying that the dash I have is most likely from a 67 regardless of the model? Yes, it is an excellent condition and it is actually the color that I need. But if what you are saying is true, I should offload this and be able to buy a reproduction for my 68.

Can I use a VIP dash pad?

This dash is deeper from front to back than the original. It is definitely different.

Can I use a VIP dash pad?

I have a 1968 sport Suburban Station Wagon that needs a new dash pad. I have acquired dash pad of the same color from the same year Plymouth except it was from a VIP. My question is am I able to use this in my car? The appears to be deeper from front to back with additional studs to hold it...

1968 Fury wagon rear side glass seals

I have ordered a 50' section of a weatherstrip that is about as close to dimensions as I could find. I will start the process to 'make it work' soon. I will document as much as I can once I start this process. This will be trial and error no doubt.

1968 Fury wagon rear side glass seals

Heres an update. 2 restoration companies would be willing to reproduce this seal provided i ordered 5000. So I have been looking and ordering samples of glass setting rubber that is close. Nothing close enough. There is one company that is wholesale that has a potential rubber that may do the...
