    1966 Cowl removal

Welp, that was easy. Clips just as described and it popped off with no damage....It's always the things you dread that are easy, and the things you think are gonna be a breeze that bite you in the ***.

    1966 Cowl removal

Thanks again. I'll start easy...than get a little frustrated...then a hammer through the windshield maybe. I hate trim...and I know I'm screwed if I bend it up.

    1966 Cowl removal

Thanks for reply. I have plastic pry tools for trim but not the metal hook style. Any chance for a picture of what kind of clips hold it on?

    1966 Cowl removal

I'm taking the cowl off my '66 300 to get to fender bolts. I've got the front screws out and wipers off, but cant seem to pull cowl off. Do I need to remove the trim at base of windshield, and if so, how?

1966 300 power to manual steering

'Cause those are my options...power steering or crashing into a tree. Nice logic. You sound like my brother in law's retarded kids.. Ya know, when I was working on the ISS at Redstone Arsenal...I thought a lot of that equipment was extraneous too.

    383 Aluminum Heads and Intake

I had seen that Jegs set and I'm guessing that's what you used. It also added to my confusion as to why the Edelbrock setup excludes 67 and earlier and the Pro Maxx does not. What changed in 68?

    383 Aluminum Heads and Intake

I'm considering Edelbrock's top end kit for my '66 383. Their catalog lists their application as 1968-up. Anybody know what's different about the earlier 383's that makes their setup not fit? I thought just about all 383s had the same head geometry....And, yes, I've tried calling/messaging...

DAMN! That stuff sounds durable! I think they make labiae out of it.

'66 300 Rag Joint. "am I the crazy one?"

I might also argue that the way these C bodies (not sure which years, but mine's one of them) had that little kink in the steering shaft is a real design flaw. I don't think this type of joint is good at flexing that way over the long term. I look at mine and it changes direction at the...
